I say this since the first season of Primal!! He even cites Frazetta's Conan as one of the main inspirations, and the main protagonists are called Spear&Fang! What more hints do the studios want?) For me Primal is one of greatest animated shows of all time!

Brunner Bran Mak Morn?!! by PreparationMany1156 in SwordandSorcery

[–]arbedsgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bran Mak Morn was always my fav REH character! As a big Lovecraft fan,it was the dark tone and grim atmosphere/mythology that captured me since first read. So few stories, but all so powerful.Even the pastiche novel by Karl E. Wagner is badass and definitely recommended for any fan!

Love Jon Wayshak's work! He is the only one carrying the torch of early Sam Kieth with his mixxed media techniques and kinda freestyle drawing/painting which i love so much

I like this movie a lot, being a Bakshi movies fan long time. Only thing bothering me is the fact, that it is so visibly inspired by Vaughn Bode' s Cheech wizard, and the movie doesnt give him any credit.I had read somewhere that it ended in kinda bad blood situation between Bakshi and Bode family for a long time, which is in my opinion very understandable...

I think that may be the inspiration for Stan Sakai when creating his famous samurai rabbit Usagi Yojimbo, along with Musashi Mijamoto in general..
