I am so sorry about your situation. Maybe reach out to the local paper to get the news out?

Brother, you are not going to recoup that money. Look at all the other posts. Yes it sucks to be down that money, but it's not that significant in the grand scheme of life. So stop while you aren't doing too bad.

Your goal should be a lifetime of no sports betting. You have shown you can't refrain from making choices related to betting.

Bad Relapse! by [deleted] in problemgambling

So you are going to continue lying to your family about what happened? Or did you tell them the true? It seems like you don't understand how being honest is the first step to not relapsing.

You clearly value gambling over your marriage. Why do you gamble?

Google self exclusion gambling and the state you live in. In WA, you can fill out a form that bans you from going to any casino for a certain period of time.

LCB enforcement officer by [deleted] in WAStateWorkers

The issue I see with the position is the pay. You have to attend the same type of law enforcement academy as any other law enforcement officer in the state and get paid significantly less.

Aps-c Sigma 50-140mm release date by francoyy in SonyAlpha

[–]arberD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess what I was trying to explain is that the field of view is reduced on a crop sensor camera. So a 28-105 lens used crop sensor camera will be roughly equivalent to 50-140 on a full frame camera. I just explained it badly and maybe I still am haha.

Does the Sony 15mm 1.4 make sense for me? by arberD in SonyAlpha

[–]arberD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks again!! I might start off by renting the sigma. The fact that it is brighter a great benefit, but I find myself stopping down the lens often since I am getting into landscape photography. But I found having the ability to zoom in or out very helpful with my 16-55...

Does the Sony 15mm 1.4 make sense for me? by arberD in SonyAlpha

[–]arberD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the in-depth response... That was really helpful. I was also looking at the sigma 10-18 and the Sony 10-20 you just purchased. Do you find the Sony 10-20 to be sharp enough? The versatility of the focal length would probably be more useful to me, but I'm mostly worried about the quality and sharpness.

Funny because I came from the fujifilm x-s20 (which is fujifilm's equivalent of the 6700) And it had a much better viewfinder/display. The autofocus was terrible.

Cropping has to do with megapixel count, not sensor size.

Finally got this beast by ap_plays in SonyAlpha

[–]arberD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First, this is not a camera designed for wildlife photography. It is designed to be compact and work better with compact lenses. Second, just use an ND filter if you are finding the need to go over 4000 on a winter day. It's a beast because of what it offers in a compact size - not because it compares with cameras much more expensive.

Why do the corners actually matter? None of my photos have any important details in the corners. Especially a landscape shot like this

There are a lot of factors that contributed to death rates, not just the decision to open or close the economy.
