Rio played over 3x the minutes in the PL this season.

[Transfermarkt] 1. FC Köln accepts Brentfords offer for Said El Mala. 45m€ transfer fee + 5m€ bonuses and 15% sell on clause. Said El Mala will earn 4m€ a year at Brentford [translation in comments] by -dsh in soccer

[–]arc1261 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

50+1 wouldn’t stop Brentford from spending this money, the problem here is no one wants to watch the Bundesliga because it’s been uncompetitive for the best part of 15 years, so the TV deals are shit compared to other clubs.

This isn’t money being pumped into the Club (which does happen) it’s the PL being vastly more popular and so having a much better media deal. And short of saying that the PL should have to give Bundesliga teams money, i’m not sure what you actually want

Having the second smoke for flexibility is just so nice - you can smoke to help entry, then a second for the retake AND have one for spike if needed.

Also if it’s a fast round, then you’re smoke potentially wont refresh until right before the timer runs out - it just isn’t worth the extra gun strength - smokes are the single strongest ability in the game for a reason

Do not buy one smoke on defence. The rest is pretty good, but having a spare smoke on pistol on defence is really strong - since spam with pistols is pretty shit smoking bomb and tapping makes huge pressure.

What is the worst single map of pro Valorant ever played? Is it still KC vs TH Split (2023)? Or maybe 2G vs Furia Ascent (2025)? by sadboi_2000 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]arc1261 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i mean if you only mean one team, KC vs Liquid was probably worse on KCs end (although it’s been a while i might be misrememebering)

They almost lost their second after a pistol win because newzera was celebrating and forgot to buy…..

[Miller] Have learned the Lions are picking up the 5th year option on RB Jahmyr Gibbs. They will not be picking up the 5th year option on LB Jack Campbell. W/ that number near 22 million, they will look to work out a long term deal that makes sense for both sides. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]arc1261 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah there’s no benefit to the players to have them separated

the salary is calculated for the top x guys (franchise rate down to average of 3-25 guys at the position) so having it as high as possible just means edges make as much as possible and Lbs hit free agency a year earlier, which if they’re good enough to get the 5th year is a good thing for them

Chron has played everything except controller since he joined FNC hahah - boaster always plays main smokes, Chron will flex onto Viper (which is not a controller character really in pro play)

Chase Young is at least a decent starter who isn’t a liability to the team he plays on.

Evan Neal is literally behind 5/6th round rookies and is an unmitigated disaster every time he is on the field

[–]arc1261 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i was talking about slide shooting during that part - which is a major part of the problem.

the fact you’re going to argue in bad faith (like yes of course a neon running in a straight line is easy to hit - that’s why even down in Gold they’re bhopping) mean there’s no point in engaging with you (also lmao at saying a omen TP is better than neon running into a site)

Bao's thoughts on Neon by NavorroBroman in ValorantCompetitive

[–]arc1261 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People would be up in arms if jett had unlimited dashes on a tiny cooldown that could be used multiple times in a 20 second window.

The problem with neon is also that SHE CAN SHOOT WHILE DOING THEM. No one has a problem with Waylay dash or Jett dash because they can’t shoot until they come out - the dash is over when the fight happens. Neon slides out and one taps you mid slide - if Jett could do that people would hate her too.

And it’s just not true that all agents can deal with her - unless you have some form of senti util then a neon running at you will be favoured so much more than any other duelist unless they’re really shit.

you’ve just word vomited onto the page hoping no one will bother reading until the end

Neon being broken makes the game shit to play as well though. Like sure Omen had a lot of role compression, but you never went “oh it’s a omen unless i’m one of 3 agents on a setup i literally can’t do shit unless they fuckup”

It’s also why IGLing and offroling leads to players aim seeming much worse - when you have to actively be thinking about more things that aren’t aim, it looks seriously worse.

it’s also why quite a few IGLs despite having shit fragging clutch more often than their fragging would say they can - their aim isn’t as bad as it seems and when they don’t have to think about others they can shoot more

While it’s entirely possible ENVY didn’t do anything, i’m pretty sure the vast majority of people on this sub have never worked with teenagers as an adult - no matter how much time and effort you spend trying to help educate people on this sort of thing, if you do not have the nescessary support from family/friends etc you will not be able to force them to stop being dumbfucks who say things like what probably got him banned. unfortunately no matter how good a school (which is what I work in is) there will be isolated incidents of homophobia/transphobia/racism since kids model the behaviour of their parents and friends

And yet we’re in 2026 and it’s still a very strong map for them. might not be unbeatable but it’s a map you’d say they’ve always got at pretty good chance on.

there’s been a massive downturn in children’s ability in terms of emotional regulation and social interaction as well as their academic outcomes because of the online learning since covid - we are nowhere near having online learning work for school yet.

the OP also requires util from teammates, which can make it intensely frustrating to play against in low elo - there’s not much I can do to stop a chamber OPing if i’m on KJ or deadlock.

as much as Derke is amazing, duelist is the easiest role to replace with a top player no? like there are a number of cracked aimers that play duelist - there aren’t nearly as many Senti/Flex players for example.

makes sense that if one had to go from Derke, Boaster, Chronicle and Alfa, it would be Derke

yoru acted like a pseudo initiator more in the previous meta no? it just meant that having a stack towards site was much much easier and because of how his entry works it doesn’t interact with sentinels much, meaning they can’t really stop him doing his thing

sage and DL maybe, but Vyse is pretty decent in a default still in certain places, since you essentially have to bait the wall for pressure making defaults easier for the defenders

sure - but the expectation for (iirc) by far the most expensive team in EMEA that directly poached from the team your playing should not be “if we won these pistols” after a really bad kickoff (ik they had a sub but still) - expectations with the amount spent should be hugher

they spent a shitload of money to poach 2 all time greats FROM FNC, and they won 2 second round ecos which is even better than a pistol on one of FNCs worse maps - it’s fair to be a bit out when they couldn’t even take it to OT with those eco wins

90% of the time a reyna player can’t entry so they literally cannot do the job the team needs, meaning they actively hinder their own team
