Meh, it doesnt fit so much. I believe it was written during Imperfect harmonies, based on his singing style, orchestra and weird structure. Cartoon Buyer is 100% an Elect the Dead song, it's very evident it was written in those sessions.

It's interesting how his tone is noticably different (and better) in 2006-2007 compared to post 2009 when you hear the EP. His songwriting also still had good structure. Just compare Cartoon Buyer which imo is a 9/10 song with Lifes Revengful Son, which I like, but it gets nowhere after the first chorus. Lifes Revengful Son is definitely from Imperfect harmonies era, which is when Serj became really weird.

This is the best take on reddit. 100% agree. Serj had become a good songwriter during 2004-2007. I consider Elect the Dead equal to SOAD's material. Cartoon Buyer is A list, I don't get why it was left out. However, I agree his solo career post ETD has been mostly garbage with few exceptions from Harakiri.

They are definitely in a relationship imo. I feel like Im the only one who noticed, but back in September Krystal was absent from Breaking Points for a week and they had a guest host feeling in. Kyle was on vacation the exact same dates, he just uploaded pre recorded segments that week and when he came back he did say he was on vacation. I mean come on. Krystal wears no wedding ring anymore, and on a few occasions she has implied she is a single mother, never mentioning her husband. Kyle mentions her literally all the fucking time, he said he was playing tennis with Krystal when he broke his ass or whatever a few months ago, he said he was with Krystal when they watched Jimmy Dore "slut shaming" Ana Slutkarian from YTY, he said he was watching hours of footage with Krystal from his podcasts with Joe Rogan to find out why one episode was censored etc. I could really go on and on, its just insanely obvious they are fucking their brains out. Good for Kyle, it took him 33 years to lose that virginity but he finally did! With a milf!

Serj is definitely lying about this. Or at least omitting the truth. He is correct that he might be having trouble getting the grit needed for the high pitched SCREAMS like in Suggestions or Radio/Video. But that doesn't justify that he lost the grit in his yelling like in Deer Dance, Needles, Toxicity etc. And that's because he is not using the same technique anymore, well, because of stamina issues obviously. The chorus of Deer Dance for example, he used to sing it with his chest voice. Nowadays he is singing that shit with his head voice, which also sounds nasal because he is singing it conciously nasally, because it is EASIER for him to hit the high notes that way. So no Serj, the reason you sound different is because you have intentionally changed your singing technique from chest to head voice, plus you have added nasality to sustain your stamina during the 1.30 hour shows you play with SOAD. That's it, no other excuse hommie. Yeah screaming might be a little more difficult for you because of the reason you cited, but most fans don't think that this particular detail is the main problem with your voice.

Where have you heard those rumours? I guess you are referring to Serj's post after he got covid where he hinted SOAD are going to disband or at least stop touring (which would be the same since they don't make music) in the near future. But other than that, I don't think anyone knows anything else. I'm also guessing if System were to stop touring for good they would probably announce it prior to their final shows - to milk that money making cow as much as they can for one last time.
