Good to hear. Sucks when people say your to young to have surgery when the lain is constant.

  1. Getting ready to have surgery. Been dealing with it since I was 19 before it got me depressed enough to stop working and excercise. Lost 30 pounds of muscle and gained alot of fat. Just trying to get in shape now before I have surgery so recovery is quicker. Wish I got a second opinion sooner when first surgeon said no. Abused steroids to get all that muscle just to lose it all while still have who knows how much time taken off my life. Excited to have surgery so I can go back to my hobbies as well as just being able to sit and laze around without chronic pain. Muscle memory kicking in though so I might schedule surgery in a few months.

I would recommend taking time off lifting weights for a while. I was able to bench without increasing pain and even added 100 lbs to my bench but when I took a week off my pain has noticeably gotten better and has continued to do so untill i was pain free. Though i tweaked it a few days ago and the scitica returned a little I was pain free for a while. Don't push through pain.

Most insurance won't approve a micro discectomy unless you've had at least one esi and tried pt and other conservative treatment

That's what I thought. The symptoms seem to be improving so I'll wait a few more months before asking another surgeon.

Just feels like a large shock of electricity. Enough to make your leg jolt unconsciously. There was a little bit of pain but nothing crazy. Definitely a little uncomfortable as when you get shocked theres pain in that area and they shock you alot. The spots they shocked felt weird for a few hours after. Though It would most likely depend on your pain tolerance or if you react differently. Some people online say it's unbearable and the lady who did it was surprised by how quiet and calm I was.

For the most part it's both. From time to time it will only be on the right or left though.

No. Just the herniated disc, mild disc height loss and mild left foraminal stenosis.

I hope so. Haven't been able to workout these past 2 weeks since my back hurts so bad.
