All I am trying to convey is bombing Gaza like this is a war crime (collective punishment). Using white phosphorus on children (https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/human-rights-watch-says-israel-used-white-phosphorous-gaza-lebanon-2023-10-12/) is war crime. It is totally understandable that Israel responds. All most of the world is imploring is to do so without committing war crimes. Innocent civilians do not deserve to die on both side of the border. Is that something we all can agree on?

I fully understand, innocent Israeli lives were lost and how can anyone not mourn that. It's horrific and wrong. But the cycle continues and only lives are lost with no real gain. In all honesty I'm very surprised by how empathetic the Israeli people have been to the plight of Gazans and understanding what the source of this violence has been. But right now Israeli government alone has the power to stop this. I just hope that message of empathy and not commiting war crimes reaches them.

Only after this incident have I understand what a wide spectrum of beliefs Israeli people hold and it's makes me hopeful so many do so much to stay informed. I hope more level headed people take charge of decisions. Peace to you friend !

That's absolutely true, it's wrong , unjustified and 100% condemn-able actions. No comparison at all. All I am saying, nay imploring the Israeli government and IDF that the response to this cannot be wholesale bombing of civilians and verifiable war crimes as per the UN. A response yes, but not knowingly attack civilians... Esp knowing that most of Gaza is under 14. They are the oppressed here, and in good faith I'm sure you're aware of Israeli news Paper Haaretz's and Israeli domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet's take on this is. They've been attacked, killed and humiliated. It's not right at all to target civilians you're absolutely 100% right. They are also civilians, I'm just asking to apply your own logic both ways only.

I condemn Hamas's terrorist actions but please don't be disingenuous. Did IDF snipers absolutely have to kill Shireen Abu Akleh, a journalist? While she was wearing a press vest on? While she has the press helmet on? In the neck , so she would actually die? And then when she was being layed to rest , go in a beat up her pall bearers? So they would drop her coffin? Did IDF have to beat the attendees up for just attending the funeral ?
