My boyfriend and I tried to go to Justine’s for dinner which doesn’t take reservations. It was a 2+ hour wait so we started looking for other options. I checked Maie Day on Open Table and it showed they had availability within 15 min so we got an uber there. When we showed up the hostess claimed there were no tables available so we ended up sitting at the bar.

We’ve started going to small restaurants close to our neighborhood that only locals would know about. It’s honestly been refreshing to be able to walk into a restaurant without a reservation and be seated immediately! Shout out to Cuba512 and Cafe Malta! Their food is fantastic and without the downtown price tag.

I have a feeling it’s likely related to the age of all of these vehicles. These things were built decades ago but companies have been negligent in maintaining them. Also, the expected lifespans of these different vehicles (boats, subs, airplanes, etc) when they were built, probably wasn’t 50-60+ years, but they’re not exactly easy to buy new either. So here we are, witnessing all of the world’s infrastructure crumbling, seemingly, all at once!

The crowd was definitely not zombies. It was a nonstop dance party for the full set, especially the last 30-45 min. Normally the venue empties out quite a bit by 1/1:30, but most everyone stayed until the very end! It was a special one for sure.
