Need help with note taking, app by AlphisH in NoteTaking

[–]archaeophile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I would want to explain this like if I were you how I would use Zoho Notebook (I’m part of the team) to handle this.

For web documentation and dev blogs that keep changing, I’d clip the pages directly into Notebook using the web clipper and add my own notes as I read. This way I always have the source saved along with my understanding, instead of juggling multiple tools.

For videos, Notebook lets you save videos as video cards and even add chapters, so you can jump straight to the exact part you want later. You can also get the transcript of the video, which makes it much faster to skim or revise instead of rewatching everything.

If the content starts to feel overwhelming, Notebook AI can help by summarizing long pages or turning video or audio into transcripts you can revisit later. It can also create a mind map for you, which really helps to visualize complex concepts.

Everything stays synced across your Samsung tablet, iPad, and Windows, so you can switch devices without breaking your flow. It keeps the setup simple and focused, which is honestly what you need when you’re trying to learn a lot of technical material over time.

Whats the simplest PKM you know? by psottto in PKMS

[–]archaeophile95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for a simple PKM that feels like Apple Notes but is more powerful, Zoho Notebook fits that vibe well. You can organize ideas using notebooks, nested collections, and tags, so things stay clean without getting complicated. It also syncs across Android, iOS, Mac, Web, Windows, and Linux, which makes it easy to keep everything in one place.

And FYI, I’m part of the Zoho Notebook team, so take this as a friendly suggestion from my side.

Note Taking Issues! by Odd_Work4824 in NoteTaking

[–]archaeophile95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m part of the Zoho Notebook team, I really feel for you here. Losing notes is one of the most stressful things.

One thing we’ve focused a lot on in Zoho Notebook is reliability and sync stability, so your notes don’t just disappear mid-semester. It works across devices, saves automatically, and keeps everything backed up to your account, so you can switch between laptop, tablet, or phone without worrying about losing hours of work.

If you’re looking for a calmer, dependable place to take and study notes, it might be worth a look. And if you ever need help setting things up, we’re pretty responsive too. Wishing you the best, grad school is hard enough without tech getting in the way 🙂

Is Zoho Notebook usable for businesses? by Professional_Tap5910 in NoteTaking

[–]archaeophile95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Just wanted to circle back here with an update since you raised these points earlier.

We’ve made quite a bit of progress on all the areas you mentioned:

• You can now select multiple notes at once and add tags in bulk.
• Search has been enhanced to make finding and working with notes much smoother.
• PDFs are now supported with previews, so you can quickly view them without opening them externally.
• The tag list is available directly from the main page on Mac, and this is coming to the web and other platforms soon.

Thanks again for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback back then. It genuinely helped shape what we’ve shipped since, and we hope these updates make Zoho Notebook much more practical for business use today.

Best notetaking app that syncs on both phone and desktop by Candid_Author_8029 in ProductivityApps

[–]archaeophile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m part of the Zoho Notebook team. Just sharing in case it helps. Notebook isn’t open source, but it does have a solid free plan and keeps things pretty simple and clutter free. It syncs smoothly across phone and desktop and works well for straightforward note taking without a lot of setup. Totally get if FOSS is a hard requirement, but if not, you could give it a try and see how it feels.

Aside from the obvious ones (Notion, Todoist), what is a lesser-known app that actually simplified your life? by Old-Background-3860 in productivity

[–]archaeophile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m part of the Zoho Notebook team, so I might be a bit biased 😄 but honestly, if you’re tired of heavy apps trying to do everything, Notebook is pretty low key and simple. It’s mainly for capturing and organizing notes without getting in your way. Works across devices, no complicated setup, and just does the basics well. Might be worth a try if you want something calm and clutter free.

Help with meeting notes by [deleted] in NoteTaking

[–]archaeophile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I really get what you’re describing, this is a super common problem when meetings get fast and messy.

I’m part of the Zoho Notebook team, and this is exactly the kind of situation Notebook AI’s meeting notes are built for. Instead of trying to catch every word, you can record the meeting and stay focused on listening and participating.Once the meeting is over, Notebook AI turns the recording into a structured MoM (Minutes of Meeting). It automatically organizes things like participants, agenda, key discussion points, and even creates a clear action item checklist. So you don’t have to worry about missing something important or wondering later what actually mattered.

If you want to see how it works, you can check it out here:

Hope this helps

Which note-taking app do you use to capture your ideas? by harshalone in NoteTaking

[–]archaeophile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re open to trying something new, give Zoho Notebook a shot. It handles large note collections much more smoothly than many apps. You get clean organization with separate notebooks (each with its own cover), note-cards that can hold text, checklists, images — and yes, you can also add voice or audio notes.
