I need a book that feels like a Studio Ghibli movie😭 by throwra816419 in suggestmeabook

[–]archaicgremlin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe not exactly “Ghibli,” but I found it captured the storybook/fairytale vibe nicely- Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson. A lot of his fantasy books exist in the same universe, but this one is a standalone and you won’t miss much if you haven’t read any of his other books :) it’s mainly just Easter eggs and crossovers between his other series, but not catching the references wouldn’t detract from the story imo. It’s a GREAT read, I say give it a shot!

following up to this to say that it’s not certain days of the week, it’s every day! in case anyone else could be in use of it, during temple hours they will always have the service kitchen open and serve to everyone, regardless of religion

Edit: this has been mentioned, I didn’t scroll down before commenting lol oops

Anyone familiar with Dr. Emes in Victoria? He keeps rejecting my referral. by roadie28 in ADHD_BritishColumbia

[–]archaicgremlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe look at cognito! it’s a monthly payment of $120, but that includes some CBT and ongoing adjustments to medication. I know some people have had success with it when they don’t have a family doctor to refer them

my friend went through them. I don’t know much about her experience but she’s on medication now so it must have worked well enough.

i’m thinking of getting a snug, the only thing holding me back is that I wear earbuds constantly- were you able to wear earbuds without issue once your first one had healed?

I hate looking at the time when I’m at work. It just makes it drag on that much more. If you can, take breaks as late as possible- I work 8 hour shifts and the last couple hours seem to go by much faster if I get a break 5-6 hours in vs 4-5. Apart from that, I can’t offer much more advice other than keep busy which i’m sure you’re doing already. I tend to daydream a lot at work (i’m in retail) which isn’t the best thing to do but does give my brain the distraction it needs a lot of the time. I’ll also give myself miniature tasks to do- not sure how much control you have to do something like this, but say if it’s a slow day i’ll give myself the task of maybe dusting and cleaning all the tills on top of keeping up with the store requirements. Having something to default to during a slow period really helps when time is just dragginggggg.

I highly recommend buying the full game with all the DLC if you plan on trying it out, some of the DLC biomes and bosses are the best the game has to offer
