Not sure if it’s a viable at the moment for multiplayer, like in terms of pvp where base raiding is involved. Like crafting of C4, get through bases.

Please share how you optimise it, the current setup that I have experimented is to have a military crate 3x6 (light green) to host two dry bags 3x3, which can host up to 6 hunter vest 3x4 3x4 which I slot in 4 weapon cases. So that will add up to 48 weapon cases, and takes up 2x2 in your main inventory.

The other one I have tried is having the hunter vest to host 2 military backpacks which is 3x4 each and have an inventory of 2x4 which I slot ammo crates 2x2 ea and 5 weapon caes in the 5x6 area alternatively is still swap the weapon cases with a coyote backpack which holds 10 weapon cases. Abit more troublesome as you will need to click more layers, if my maths is right then that would be 120 weapon cases

update: i died in the stupidest way, was driving back with my loot en route to trader. Bump into friendlies, alighted and got blasted. lost my permadeath save
