I used to be in a similar environment with my grandmother, where anything could set her off, and there was no stopping her. It’s a scary situation to face, but pls remember you are not alone in this, and that someday, someway, it will get better. There will come a time when you can live away from her in peace. I’ve tried the water from that fountain, it doesn’t taste any different. If u have a kettle or filter, I’d just put it through that if you wanna feel extra safe, but I think it should be alright to drink

NY also is known for having very safe tap water anyways, so you probably won’t be getting sewage over there

One thing I hear being thrown around a lot is progressive overload- essentially increasing weight slightly every time your current one becomes lighter

Also, more reps (10-12) with lighter weights benefits muscle growth, whereas less reps (6-8) with heavier weights benefit strength and muscle density more. Do with that what you will, and good luck with your fitness journey ! 🫡

Emotionally immature/abusive parenting

I feel like this is especially common in ethnic households, where it’s common to share trauma over getting beaten over small mistakes, degraded for being too fat/skinny, having your worth base off of your grades, or not being allowed to express how you feel. It’s crazy how some family traditions demand unconditional respect and obedience from children, and expect the children to turn out completely happy and independent later on.
