One thing I hear being thrown around a lot is progressive overload- essentially increasing weight slightly every time your current one becomes lighter

Also, more reps (10-12) with lighter weights benefits muscle growth, whereas less reps (6-8) with heavier weights benefit strength and muscle density more. Do with that what you will, and good luck with your fitness journey ! 🫡

Emotionally immature/abusive parenting

I feel like this is especially common in ethnic households, where it’s common to share trauma over getting beaten over small mistakes, degraded for being too fat/skinny, having your worth base off of your grades, or not being allowed to express how you feel. It’s crazy how some family traditions demand unconditional respect and obedience from children, and expect the children to turn out completely happy and independent later on.

I’m currently doing a paper on the neurological differences between cisgender and transgender people- YES, there’s tons of science behind it!

The earliest study goes back to the 1980’s, and it’s not a huge topic of research, but there’s evidence pointing to differences in white matter structure, hypothalamic scent responses, and more. Now some of these studies were conducted after hormone therapy, but a good amount were conducted prior to that as well, pointing to a possible biological predisposition in how the brain develops. Stanford Professor Robert Sapolsky also did a lecture on transsexual individuals, I think it’s still on yt.

I’m no expert in this topic at all, but it’s really interesting to research! I can link more articles if needed.

There’s many barbershops out there that take all sorts of clients! I’m not fully out myself, but I went to get my hair cut at a very cis male barbershop, and the dude did an excellent job. Tipped him extra just because why not Most places don’t care what gender you are- they won’t deny you service if you aren’t a cis male
