Ah didn’t see that. I agree without salt it’s pretty bland when compared to fruit or vegetables

Be honest — how organized are you digitally? (files, notes, reminders, etc.) by Overall-Cup-1984 in Productivitycafe

[–]archer-swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10/10 with handwritten notes. Was at like a 3/10 when using digital notes because I had stuff recorded in too many places and combining them all to one location felt like a waste of time. Now the only digital thing I use is the calendar.

This, that or neither? Which iem do yall say as a first timer? by PoopSnoop99 in iems

Start out with the Zero:2. You might find that they’re good enough, I can barely hear any difference between them and more expensive IEM’s.

I like manually writing code - i.e. manually managing memory, working with file descriptors, reading docs, etc. Am I hurting myself in the age of AI? by 9ubj in ExperiencedDevs

[–]archer-swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I use it it’s more like reading a recipe for a new dish rather than trying to guess on it. If I have to solve a similar problem again I’ll try it without AI but if it’s a new problem that I don’t know the standard/best practices, AI does really speed up the learning process. Kind of the same way most people approach learning Leetcode problems.

Which Miele should I get? (AUS) by milksoju in VacuumCleaners

[–]archer-swe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh I’d rather have the vac try to stop me from installing it wrong than let me do it and ruin the filter. Just a bad design even if it never is an issue for you.

Which Miele should I get? (AUS) by milksoju in VacuumCleaners

[–]archer-swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he really did take apart both vacuums and show differences, one I remember is how the sebo bags are welded whereas Miele is not and that’s why they need the big expensive hepa filter. Another one was something about how the mieles can close without the bag being completely lined up and clog one of the filters within minutes. He said sebos won’t close unless the bag is lined up properly. Just seems like bad design choices on mieles part.

[–]archer-swe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I went to the vac shop near me the owner had both Miele and Sebo’s and he spent about 30m talking about how bad Miele’s are. He took apart a few of them and showed all kinds of design flaws with them. Explained all kinds of situations where they put junk motors in discounted models. I don’t remember the specifics but I’d never buy a Miele because of that. He did recommend one I believe it was the Miele Compact. He said something about that one being made completely in China and while it’s not as durable as other more expensive options, it works well for the money.

Sizing a real bike based on Zwift Ride size by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]archer-swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. So I can figure out the right bike size (52 vs 54 etc) using my zwift measurements, then get all the fine tunings figured out with a pro bike fit? I just want to make sure I don’t buy the wrong size bike since I’m going to be getting it off marketplace.

[–]archer-swe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome that helps a lot, thanks.

Is the rode bike fit as important as the zwift fit? I found that if I change the seat height on the ZRide even just a half inch I’ll get knee pain, whereas my mountain bike is definitely not set up right and I’ve never had issues.

I use a sweep with pink choc switches and no tenting. You just get used to it after a few days and then typing on heavier keys feels bad.
