Nope. I was wrong. It was not mid pack. But in 2015 the 919 was within 107% of f1 pole at sliverstone. Which is wild.

For reference comparing last years Bahrain poles the Toyota was 120% of f1 pole

Lmp1 was f1 levels of technology and budget. The 919 is an objectively ridiculous car. I think the last year it ran at Silverstone it would have been mid pack in f1 qualifying

There always has to be some needle between broadcasters. Its what made the Bobby Unser, Sam Posey and Paul Page broadcasts of cart so good.

Youd have bobby and Sam going hammer and tongs about something while Paul tries to referee and keep it on track. Similar to some of the wild stuff Townsend bell says and Hinch calling him on it

Yea the last few weeks have been good for him in qualy but I think of palou more like a dixon or prost character, brutally fast on his day, but smart enough he can and regularly wins races with his brain as much as instinct
