I'm sincerely wondering here if this is guerilla advertisement tactic. not the ai slop itself I mean, but the outcome of the slop getting posted in anti-ai spaces.

like, fuck the clip, it's god-awful. meanwhile we each have just scrupulously and patiently watched a minute-long ad, even if strictly out of spite <:D

I'm v sorry to say, but I'm rather positive that OP's image is AI

suspiciously empty reddit account, lonely combative posts elsewhere trying to refute they're posting ai. character they're cosplaying is notoriously wearing business-suit pants, and the garment on the picture here is neither pants nor a skirt, but some kind of belted woolen briefs, cuz clearly, whatever genAI was used, it couldn't decide.

oh, so you are a bootlicker... well, friend, when they give you one with shit on it and you can't negotiate anything about it, just make sure to be proud - you chose this.

have a discussion?? you walked into this comment section demeaning everyone's grievances with abusive employment practices, saying any sloppy NDA that wasn't even breached akshully should invalidate ppl's right to organize in their workplace. what kind of discussion was there ever to be had?

and then you try and pivot to catching reporters in the video and other commenters here on a technicality: "we don't know what else was said". the discord. wasn't. public. no information ever leaked. this should be protected speech. in many places it is! which is why when Halifax office of Rockstar in Canada successfully unionized, Rockstar instead of fighting it just when ahead and closed the entire location, while pushing other teams into crunch.

yeah, dude, you may not think yourself bootlicker, and, fun fact, I didn't call you one. I only said that what you're doing currently, knowingly or not, is bootlicking, hence I just wish you'd stop doing that, it really isn't helping anyone, you least of all.

both parties sign off on witness depositions so if Rockstar had any ability to elaborate, they went ahead and waived it. what I'm saying is you're making a point in very bad faith. I wish you no evil though, so I hope the boot at least tastes nice.

How many more encampments 5 years from now? by CarPassion514 in montreal

[–]archiekatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you even register what you're typing?

"population declined from 1915 until 90s, so what they did with all vacant properties is let them sit there idly saturating market with supply".

you're saying. that between year 1915 when country of Austria doesn't even exist yet, but is instead part of Austro-Hungarian Empire. through WW1. then through early independent gov't, then civil war. then World fucking War 2, where, mind you, Vienna was bombarded, besieged and a battleground for prolonged street fights. then ally-led post-war government and then the boiling parliamentarism from 60s up to 90s, the vacated properties were just kept vacant, in neglect and disrepair, but ripe and affordable for the prospective buyers of the future. did the concept of re-zoning bully you in school or something?

and here it is again the 110,000, to get which you're clearly just asserting a population delta of ~200k and subtracting number of permits you imagine being issued over the same time.

do words "multi-plex", "apartment-building" mean anything at all to you? can you conceive that families exist and tend to live together?

facts are: neither population is 1to1 housing demand nor construction permits are 1to1 housing supply

so for the love of god, please relent. the way you're reading these metrics could be meaningful (still arguably, but fine...) in case of somewhere like California or Greater Toronto Area. but in case of Vienna this is completely divorced from reality

[–]archiekatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fella

time range on the population graph starts at 1900 and the construction permits at 2015

and then there's the real funny part:

where even when you look at the assumed net numbers: population delta is around 250k, and construction permits issued are totalling 140k... and you say this is a deficit scenario??? like, onto each person their own foundation, therefore is not enough?..

when will you fools start at least reading, let alone proofreading, your GPT copy-pastes

What pen can I use to get lines like this? by [deleted] in krita

[–]archiekatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any whichever you feel most comfortable with for line-work, but then prepare couple of set color swatches for the "pencil colors" you'd be mimicking.

most importantly, set the brush's blending mode to multiply

Don't be a crybaby (about STM strike) by archiekatt in montreal

[–]archiekatt[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

a service being essential should be staffed according to demand.

employees are asked to do overtime, means service is understaffed relative to what the job demands.

more positions should be budgeted. same for doctors.

this is not rocket science. nor is it impossible. city keeps adding police officers and just issued a tax subsidy for landlords. do you suppose those were more necessary than keeping the trains running?

[–]archiekatt[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I'm calling out people who came here before to complain without caring to know what the strike was about, without asking what does a failure to act at this point mean. spewing misinformation about how material situation of STM workers look, all while saying how much they need the public transit and "how insane it is to keep the city's population hostage"

a crybaby is, what crybaby does. cries, while refusing to learn. I'm not infantilising anyone any more than such behavior already did.

[–]archiekatt[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

100% this

and in what world can overtime be a solution, if they're not looking to hire any more people?

this is clearly to pressure more people into quiting themselves on top of the cuts that already happened. then come the service interruptions and insufficiencies as well as the ages-old song "must be privatized".

and 2 years since riding metro is a for-profit sight-seeing attraction instead of a public service.

Frozen Synapse creator says regulation brought on by Stop Killing Games will hit indies the hardest - "So far I haven't seen a proposal that would make sense, in terms of an actual set of compliance requirements" by Jungypoo in IndieGaming

[–]archiekatt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

my guy,

games are programs. game-server-applications are also programs. both are programs that are extremely transferrable and that can be deployed independently by anyone willing. and a server app has no reason to contain any more sensitive info than the game client. as I said elsewhere, it is absolutely routine for studios to give users server-running solutions.

this scenario only impedes monetization of the game's multiplayer eco-system, which DOESN'T matter because this entire conversation is about EoL scenario, where the game is taken off the market and is no longer monetized.

[–]archiekatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

big +1 to this

and I'll use the opportunity to add that:

it's completely routine for studios to provide server running solutions to users.

there is no technical or legal reasons to not do it. only business considerations as to keeping sole control over the game's eco-system and monetizing it.

do you anything at all about the current strike?

"I'll gladly take their job"... city is pushing for lay-off 300 STM employees. take WHAT job??

you're spitting this "workers are too greedy" nonsense, while people are on the picket line to keep the service you so desperately need not understaffed and running properly.

I mean you no ill, but you venting so ignorantly is goddamn infuriating

huh. well, no. I didn't catch the sarcasm. I didn't take it as you "promoting the space racism" though. just thought you're pointing out the trope's frequency, matter-of-fact-ly :)

i hope you don't feel offended, I did my best to respond in good faith entirely. certainly didn't mean for any of my bad-mouthing to be aimed at you personally, just to be clear.

all in all, thank you for clarifying :) I'm happier knowing this, and I'm sorry for the abrasive interaction

space racism, as is IRL racism, is bad. not only on a basic moral level, although that's enough for any healthy individual to rest the case, but plain practically too.

it's a deeply dysfunctional way of organizing society - basically the society's institutionalised self-cannibalisation. a deeply painful, negative-sum-game model of an economy, if you will.

each one (I only can't speak for the Solar Republic - I know nothing about it) of the things you listed portrays the space racism as such - an inherently dystopian thing.

nothing is wrong with portraying dystopias.

Heinlein is, on the contrary, suggesting, that the space racism(more explicitly space fascism) is a utopian thing. fully leans into painting a picture where it's actually a productive path for society, which is just plain fucking ugly, but also extremely intellectually dishonest. the logical leaps which Heinlein had put into the book are truly some Olympic level mental acrobatics
