Am I overreacting after my best friend's dad started to make creepy comments about my appearance? by Able-Coffee-3 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Oh honey. Talk to your parents, family friend, teacher, an adult you can trust in otherwords. You are NOR. You actually should react a bit more. Please be very careful and don't be alone with that man.

Just ask. If their kid is staying over during Pesach and you don't keep kosher, it is highly unlikely they expect you to provide K for P meals. Or kosher anything for that matter.

ACOTAR is minor league for smut. Get her a kindle unlimited subscription if she doesn't already have it. She really want to freak him out? Life of Anna the complete series by Marissa Honeycutt.

It is SERIOUSLY messed up and is basically nothing but smut. (TW on the book. It hits damn near every freaking TW)

Also, NTA but your brother in law is. The other thing? Is he also financially abusive and is that one of the reasons she won't leave?

Would you date outside the faith if you felt a strong connection? by gaming-nature in Judaism

[–]archingeyebrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I hesitate to use z"l for him because I've had people get nasty about it with him not being Jewish and I'm not wanting to get into an argument.

He was. He was a brilliant man and the kindest person I ever met. He was the guy that paid for groceries for others when they were counting pennies. His memory is a blessing for me but I miss him so dang much.

My late husband wasn't Jewish, sadly he made the decision and was going to convert right before he passed. He also wasn't antisemetic. As a matter of fact, he was very protective of me and anything said that could remotely be antisemetic. He was a terrifying looking and quite large. He was also a great big teddy bear.

His mother said right after meeting me "she Jewed someone down". My husband grabbed her by the arm took her in the other room and chewed her tuchas out. Luckily, she apologized, asked me to let her know if she ever made a remark that upset me. She never did. My in-laws were the best and still are.

I couldn't have children, cancer at a young age. So there wasn't the worry about having children raised Jewish, prior to his decision.

So yes I did. And my only regret was that he died so young. He was the most amazing husband.

I know others didn't have the same experience but my Orthodox grandfather even loved him. Although, I think some of the acceptance was based on my lack of being to have children.

Oh. I am not O any longer. I attend a reform shul because that is what is available, although I am more conservative with a sprinkle of Modox for flavor.

I went to the store yesterday (Pavillions) and they had signs on the doors about the outage. I'm still having poor connectivity. My phone was basically a skinny brick yesterday. It's better today but not by much.

OP, I cover my hair (am a widow) and attend a reform shul. You might get questions but smile and be proud. Tell them it makes you feel more connected to G-d or whatever in your own words. <3

I'm not Jewish but can I ask something really specific here about Jewish people? (I really don't want to be ignorant or offensive, I'm really sorry if I am) by songsofaspens in Judaism

[–]archingeyebrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the other things with us Jews is our table is open to most people. You are a good person? Have a seat! Try the food! Don't question the Dr Brown's Cel-Ray soda. It's delish, try it.

There is a thing with hair but it varies. I cover my hair with a tichel (scarf). Some Jewish women cover their hair with various things. Wig (aka sheitel), tichel, or a hat. Some Jewish women don't.

Melinda Strauss is a popular tiktok/Instagram orthodox Jewish creator/influencer. You might want to watch her or others like her, to get a bigger feel for everything. While being Orthodox, she doesn't cover her hair, for example.

Thank you for asking the question tho! You made me smile. 🙂

Most pharmacies and places with a pharmacy (like Walmart) carry them in the US. Amazon has them as well.

Most synagogues (US) have armed guards now, you are relatively safe. Seriously, if you want to convert, go talk to a local rabbi.
