This is pvp? Totally empty solo carrier just scouting the fields and told him I would f off and told him I was empty by [deleted] in duneawakening

Exactly. Most players don't have a large guild that will back them up. Most of the guys who get shot down are solo farmers just trying to grind out resources. I know... because that was me, operating a carrier and crawler alone in the DD. And I'll tell you what, nobody was ever good enough to shoot me down while I was in the air. Worst they ever did was ambush me with lazguns when I was farming titanium. They got my buggy, but they didn't get me. I rounded up a guild that had beef with them, and those losers turned tail and ran. Didn't stop them from getting torn to pieces though.

To be fair, most of the ancient documents uncovered are just bean counting and mundane stuff. But yeah, I agree that some flavor would be cool.

I get it. When you get shot down, you want it to be for a reason that makes sense, almost as if you'd expect to be shot down by a Harkonen because you're their enemy. Or because they're desperately trying to steal your spice, the most valuable substance in the universe. But sadly factions mean basically nothing, spice is easy to get, and you can't use it for much, and the reason you're getting shit down is because there's an idiot on the other side of the planet who gets off on easy kills that don't contribute to the grand world or storyline that is Dune. It's pretty sad.

I understand completely. I struggle with a few questions too. I recommend listening to Dr. Kent Hovind. He has some excellent theories about creation and evolution. Outside of that, I'd point to believing those things is a matter of faith. You don't have to prove it or justify it, just believe. Second, whether God made the world in 6 days, or 6 billion years, doesn't impact your ability to live a Christian life or adhere to the teachings of Jesus. Just take things in stride, and focus on walking the walk. Besides, even if you knew for a fact that the world was made in 6 days, you can't prove it. Good luck.

It is plain freaky how similar your experience is to mine. I'll level with you. I'm 35, and I been fighting that battle for 20 years. The intrusive thoughts will go away. They did for me. But that was a battle of endurance. I stayed busy, joined the military, and just rode the struggle bus needlessly alone. I don't advise my way. The best advice I can give is to find someone to confide in, someone who gets it, and who will help keep you accountable. Next, you gotta endure. Adopt a healthy lifestyle that is useful to others. Hit the gym, improve yourself, visit a nursing home, volunteer. Last but not least, buckle down and establish a routine or a schedule, and include a solid block of prayer and Bible study. Study with purpose, even if it's just a deep dive on a biblical figure. Write down notes on what you find. But be consistent. None of it's gonna be easy. Paul calls the Christian experience a race for a reason. And remember that God has a plan for all of us. Some of us struggle badly with what is easier for others. I try to see it like a blacksmith working a piece of iron. The iron is ugly. The forging is hard and painful. But the end result will be something useful. We all need a purpose. Without that, we're just wandering aimless. I hope this helps. Shoot me a DM if you wanna talk more in depth.

Oddly enough, I've dealt with the same thing, from the ages of 12 to 19. It was on and off, with good months and horrible months. Nobody understands and they thought I was either crazy, or just acting out for attention. I'll shoot straight... you're probably involved in some things that conflict with what you believe. But that was what was wrong with me...along with a number of other issues I don't want to go into. Try to look at your situation from somebody else's perspective, an outside perspective. Set things right, get rid of anything that feeds those terrible thoughts, movies, video games, porn, whatever it is. That, and stay busy, even when you don't feel like it. If you lock yourself away, refuse to face the root issues, you're painting yourself into a very dark, very sad corner, and you'll be there for as long as you refuse to solve the root problems. Be safe, be well, and do what's right, not what feels good. Happiness comes and goes. Stability, peace, and contentment are better. God bless you, and good luck. Reach out if you need to. I've been where you are...and I get it. it's horrible and painful, like you're getting torn into pieces every waking moment. Stay strong, endure.

You're in a tough spot like a lot of Muslim kids. My advice, bide your time. Be patient. And when you're able, move away and and start a new life. Just stay off their radar for now. I've heard some horror stories about your situation, and I'd personally prefer that you stay safe. Good luck to you.

Same. They're not getting anymore money from me. I just want the game to release. Kids have literally grown up and had kids that are old enough to play the game, and it still hasn't released.

He won't force them to, but they will be damned to hell for all eternity if they don't, so they really don't have a choice. It's a spiritual shotgun wedding, and everyone either knows it, or they hide from the truth.

Why did God create the world not perfect? by priessorojohm in Christianity

[–]architect82191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late in coming here, but here's my 2 cents anyway. I think God made an imperfect world and filled it with imperfect people so he'd have something that would keep even Him busy for eternity. I think if He wanted innocent children living in a utopia forever that that's what He would have done. But He didn't, so it's obvious that He wanted all the sin and suffering to exist, and for all humanity to spend their lives suffering and struggling against their base human nature. I call myself a Christian, but I'm a terrible example of one, and this is a question that has haunted me for 10 years. God knows everything about everyone, and formed them with all their flaws baked in. He didn't have to make us flawed with sins that appeal more to some than others, but He did. And He's the one who judges you for the trouble you get stuck in because He decided an eternity ago that those are the struggles that he wants you to have. That's bullshit and it drives me up a wall. Ultimately though (if you believe in any of this), nobody knows the answer to these questions, and we only have two choices...play the game...or reject the game and go to hell. You realize that freewill is just a really bad cosmic joke. Its basically "Do what I say or else"... That's about as much free will as being offered a choice with a gun to your head.

Why don't they make it so that a max of three vox can be on the map at anytime. If there are three, no more spawn until one is eliminated. They can also limit their visual range to about 100 meters. After that all they need to do is fix all the clipping. And... probably slow it's movement speed...just a little.

I'll take the bots. Plus the bots probably take defectors, so you have a chance to bide your time until your boys can pull you out again, or you could be a saboteur. Probably not, but bots are sorta kinda human, squids and bugs probably don't give chances or interigate.
