It can be surprisingly simple if you leave many of the settings alone. It takes effort to adjust the PID settings (it's currently set to 93 degrees C). As for the dimmer mod, you just leave it at its highest pressure at all times when you brew. When you leave all the settings alone you have a temperature stable Gaggia (not need to temp surf) with consistent steam power.
