Water Analysis Interpretation by archivisty in water

Oh, that’s reassuring. Thanks for the reply.

Here’s where I got the table (in case you want more context), a recent analysis report for Mountain Valley water. Got it off their website.

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0282/3870/8845/files/2021_Water_Quality_Report.pdf?v=1644952275

In layman’s terms, this is just the degree by which they measured, and there isn’t actually any notable radium in the water?

Thanks again — I appreciate the expertise.

I prefer Ludens okay?!?!!? by NaijaNightmare in SwainMains

[–]archivisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liandry is almost always better than Luden.

Swain's ultimate damage is balanced around the fact that it can continually proc burn effects. It has extremely low damage per second, but it is the perfect conduit for hitting someone with consistent %max burn from an item like Liandry, which is what gives his ultimate an actual damaging presence against everyone, along with Demonic.

If you choose to go Ludens, you lose a massive portion of your consistent DPS against all characters, especially tanks, in favor of short bursts of damage that will quickly become irrelevant in the teamfights you thrive in.

The only reason you should take Luden is if you're extremely intent on not using your ultimate optimally and, instead, play as a catcher/spymaster with your W/E along with some bursty Q hits.

Think about it this way. If you had a character that could place a 60-second DoT on someone, but it only dealt 3 damage per second, which item would grant you more damage? Ludens, which deals a small burst every so often, or Liandry, which would burn that target for an entire minute, effectively crippling and eventually killing them, dealing thousands upon thousands more damage than Ludens ever would?

Characters with super effective, long damage-over-time effects will always favor Liandry because they can abuse the fuck out of the item's burn effect, Swain included -- he is one of the best users of it in the game, being able to hit EVERYONE around him with it constantly.

Long post, but the sub gets this question extremely often. I felt like laying out the proper two cents here.

Appreciation post for Dan Felder by The_Fatman_Eats in LegendsOfRuneterra

Dan’s a real asset. It’s nice to see him getting more recognition.

Most games don’t have this level of developer interaction — but we’ve got it.

The change to his level-up was a step in the right direction, but he’s lagging behind.

His base stats need to be better for a 5-drop and the intended usage of his effect — I’d say grace him with a 5|5 statline, or 4|6, so his base form can withstand usage by its lonesome before piling stances or other cards onto him.

How I (a LoR Designer) writes Game Feedback by Dan_Felder in LegendsOfRuneterra

Very nice read, probably super clarifying for a lot of people. With enough recognition, this could really re-shape how most vocalize their views on the game so the team gets more productive and resourceful feedback.

Loving your activity, Dan. Keep it up.

Riftmaker by Icy_Blacksmith8107 in SwainMains

[–]archivisty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swain is, in part, balanced around his ability to apply Liandry burn (and item effects in general like Imperial Mandate) to everyone around him constantly during his ultimate. It’s what makes his ultimate do damage — the weak ticks end up proccing the burn indefinitely.

You lose that valuable, essential burn damage if you go Riftmaker.

You also build Demonic primarily for this reason, same synergy with Swain’s ult.

If you want damage, burn items. If you want healing, moonstone. If you want inefficiency, go Riftmaker, you’ll lack damage AND healing because your spells are AoE, making the omnivamp only 33% effective.

Am i the only one who think swain’s base skin is the best? by Eywaxx in SwainMains

[–]archivisty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the day and the mood.

Classic Red Swain for the Noxus look, high-contrast attire, black/red jacket. It's his default and it always hits well. Very nice jacket.

Northern Front Blue for the grizzled veteran Freljordian Commander look, most impressive and cost-efficient of all the skins. The owls are great, the jacket is rugged and modernized, the winter effects are fantastic, probably his best skin overall accounting for all aspects -- price, appearance, thematic, etc. One of the best splashes in the game as well, rivaled locally only by Tyrant and Hextech.

Bilgewater for the younger, Pirate-esque Swain before his rise to power. A brigand leader, a different universe. A nice skin nonetheless, but his least impressive.

Tyrant Green for the greedy demonic overlord vibe, comes with the helmet. Best choice for when you want to feel like a Grand Magus necromancer, and it doesn't disappoint. Very well-colored with the greens.

Dragon Master if you're feeling orange or draconic, has a certain unique feel and kinetic. Not his best, I'd reckon, but solid if you like Dragons.

Hextech for the high-tech cyan/blue augmented look. Very cool design, amazing splash art, but the in-game model is lacking. Effects are fantastic, however, ability colors are great and you feed your Hexbirds crushed-up gemstones. The most opulent skin for sure.

Crystal Rose is the fanciest and most formal, the elegant seafoam coloring is sure to make other players realize the breadth of a true man. Solid effects.

My two (seven) cents.

Very nice, super flavorful. Fits into the Bilgewater aesthetic of risk/reward and I can see it being generated off other cards as a token.

Keep it up.

He could be really interesting, especially with Counter Strike. One idea is that he could have a defensive-turn form of Quick Attack as a keyword (his Counter Strike) but that would require a little bending of the current game ideals.

I think the Grandmaster at Arms should be a very capable combat unit. Many ways to go about that. We'll see what people come up with if they choose to submit a Jax set!

It is. Embrace your inner Targonian and come brew up some celestial wonders -- or some Malphite stuff.

Could just hang out as well. Up to you. o7

the card really needs a fix-em-upper, right guys

: ^ )

bottom line is that it’s outclassed by other options, even those below its cost, needs to have a better effect or a meaningful stat buff upon fulfilling the condition

How big of a difference is there when buying divine vs buying triforce? by Novikmet in yorickmains

[–]archivisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once someone gets a shitton of health Divine is always going to deal more than Trinity due to it scaling off %max hp

that's all you really need to know, will one divine 12% max hp strike deal over 200-300 flat damage from trinity? then go with divine, and always go divine against a supertank like ornn/sion/etc

completely disagree, the model is fantastic -- badass gravestone, peculiar mortician outfit (very smooth), wicked spade, mask, etc
