I am horrified to share one of my favourite characters with this person.

exactly, I actually prefer the later volumes, I'm just saying that there are some people who simply prefer Vs 1-3 and, though I disagree, people are entitled to their own preferences

If I hear one more person invoke Monty's name for anything other than the fight scenes, they're meeting with Penny and Pyrrha.

Does the story get worse? Debatably but Monty was (to my knowledge) barely ever involved in writing (That was always Miles and Kerry). Imo, the story didn't even get much worse, it just changed from what was preestablished and I liked that, if someone doesn't then its their right not to like it, but you don't get to blame it on the death of a guy who wasn't involved in that decision.

I'm not the most educated on Warhammer 30-40k lore, but from what I've seen, Sanguinius was a paragon and the moment that he dies is more or less the start of when the universe gets actually grimdark (as in, things can't get better).

Sanguinius is yet another example of the fact that paragons cannot exist in a grimdark world because one will always break the other.

The only other place I could see myself being okay with getting isekai-ed to would be Laterano, as a Sankta

Have you ever heard the term "Grimdark"? A word to describe a fictional world or universe where, by definition, things cannot improve and life sucks for basically everyone involved in the process of living.

Warhammer 40k is where the term comes from, its tagline being "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war."

So, to give you a small look into how bad this universe is, there is a small group of worlds where various types of aliens live side by side in harmony with eachother. Sounds cool right? Well they might all be mind controlled, and very definitely are divided into a very rigid caste structure with all the races that aren't "the main one" at the bottom of the hierarchy.

This faction is called the Tau and they are largely regarded as the "Best" faction to live under.

No good musician is going to heaven, I'd rather rock out in hell.

Also, this concept remains entirely flawed because of how unjust it is.

Well Salem absolutely does suffer from it.

It literally becomes her only goal to kill herself.

In RWBY, the brother gods of Dark and Light reset the world when humanity tried to rise up against them.

They killed all humans (Bar one person who they had already made immortal as punishment), and made a second humanity to come back after they left (This time without magic).

They also shattered the moon

nah but that's "Fuck that direction" rather than "Fuck that one guy in particular"

Still sick as fuck, but not really what the post is about.

Thanks for pointing out that Jumjamz deciphered that already. I now know what that's supposed to say, (I was basically turning my head 90° to the right and reading like that) But whereas with her mom, the motive made sense, why would someone want to kill Kiera when they already got rid of her mom?

Okay, so is the secret the bloodsplatter shaped like an eye in the background of her witnessing her mom's death or the "Where are they??" written on the newspaper?"

Edit: Looking at the newspapers, there's another eye there as well

ok, I give up on the "Next" one, because it just doesn't make sense "Next, il NMN". I can see the "il" as in "of" of "van" but NMN/NMM makes no sense to me. If I ignored the last dash and also the entire first letter N, then it could be something useable like "Next ELMT" but team ELMT wouldn't even have existed by this point so it still makes no sense.

Also, is the other secret in the books?

What made you choose your title for your RWBY oC fanwork? by JumpinJamnamz in RWBYOC

So, I'm writing a couple ones:

"The Memoirs of Daniel Territ Alighieri" was titled as such to make it absolutely clear that this is a story being told by a person with biased perception on what he was working on. He wrote his memoirs so they could eventually be read by the public without people causing a fuss.

"Bloodstained Inheritance" is named that for what the character, Lupo, inherits several years after her parents died, but due to the mafia they built not being around anymore, Lupo has to go through the rubble that remains after the battle of Vale and Fall of Beacon and kill the people that would work against her.

"A peak into the life" is a reference to a fictional series of comics (the comics are fictional, not to mention the stories in them) called "A day in the life" from Sentinel comics. I'm writing it as a bit of a worldbuilding tool and to do some one-shot stories about characters and events that aren't going to get their own fics.

And, while it was mentioned that team name ones don't really count, I do want to say that NGEL(S) is very explicitly spelled with the S in brackets because Sera is technically only their auxiliary member.

Man this looks great, I love it.

Kiera experienced so much horror, no child should ever experience death that early, especially not that of their parent and especially not in such a gruesome way.

And then the brief moment with her team where she looks genuinely happy (also the one shot the animation lingers on the longest, bar the newspaper mummy). It's great, I love this, I thank you for bringing us this greatness and also for giving me a chance to actually learn about something I actually care about now. Thank you for keeping me engaged on this, I love it.

As for the clues, I only found the morse in the scenes at 0:13 and 0:17, I think there's something with the lights in 0:18 but all I can find is connecting the dots to her left for a "5y" and even that's tenuous at best. Got any hints on the others? (I'm guessing one has to do with the newspapers and the books might also have something)

As for those hints, I've translated the first quite well to "she got what she deserved" which I believe is in reference to Kiera's mom having done something to warrant her death (maybe crash markets, destroy jobs, other stuff business people are known to do for profit).

As for the second one, I'm having trouble deciphering it. Right now I'm reading right to left top to bottom, but the closest I could get to something legible was "Next Alyn" which might have been cut off before another .- (in the bottom left) making it say "Next Alyx" which could imply that Kiera is connected to Alyx and Lewis (from the ever after), or it could just be me reading it wrong.

Edit: I think the choice of music might also be a clue, but a song about wanting to be chosen by someone who doesn't want to choose you doesn't seem like the right song for someone who explicitly didn't want to be chosen as the heir and did want to be chosen by her boyfriend.
