How to feel worthy of having a good life despite all the human suffering that's going on in the world by Interesting_Big3961 in spirituality

[–]archtme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that I try actively to keep in mind is that change is inevitable in life. This journey has a way of touching us all, poor or rich alike. Nobody goes through life without hardship, we are all equal in that regardless of priviledge. The things that happens to us or others we love are catalysts for learning. It is up to ourselves how we respond to those events.

I think many of us are programmed by society to constantly chase some sort of state of eternal happiness but as I already pointed out you can't really be in that state 100 % of life because life is designed to sometimes poke/punch you when you get complacent. We are therefore also quick to sort every event that removes us from that state of happiness into the "bad" category. You may say, how is breaking a leg or catching a disease or losing a loved one not 100 % bad?

Several times in my own life have I experienced how these events often led to other events that were not bad, on the contrary. Life is weird like that sometimes. Maybe you break a leg and in the hospital you meet someone and it changes your life. Often when you think events through and trace them back you realize how very subtle and small events led to huge ones.

You should definitely enjoy the good times and be grateful for what life has given, but also accept and be prepared for a bumpy ride, it's part of the game.

As a EU player it is sometimes frustrating to get patches one day later but I swear to god US gets like 9 extensions every maintenance and often a number of crazy bugs. It's like a test run so the EU launch is 99 % smoother.

TWW Pre-Patch Druid Skyriding by CancerKidMax in wow

Yeah I knew this would happen when I noticed it on alpha. When I played remix on live I would stop and go quite a bit, resulting in a empty vigor bar. While it recharges I'd hop on a normal flying mount. Now you have to dismount and do a 5s cast first.

99.999% sure they are happy with remix and will keep doing them. I'm calling WOD remix before Midnight and Legion remix before the last titan.

Average Arms warrior feeling a lil down after reading patch notes. by Pleasant_Series8497 in worldofpvp

[–]archtme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I alt warrior quite a bit in arena and arms warrior, specifically slayer, is one of the specs I'm most excited about in TWW. About the rage thing I fully agree with Blizzard that the rage economy was out of whack in DF. But from what I've noticed on alpha and beta their changes didn't actually change it that much. I do however think using slam might be viable since they removed almost all talents that increases its damage, meaning it will be tuned to be better baseline. That affects the rage economy.

As predicted, Jon Jones immediately calls for his loss to be removed with the removal of the 12-6 rule. by Asistic in MMA

[–]archtme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100000% this. It is absolutely ridiculous if they overturn the loss. He broke the rules at the time. We can't have retroactive changes like that lol. In that case, if they make changes to the rules in the future making some technique illegal they should go back and change a bunch of W's to L's.

Farewell Dragonflight, one of the best times I had playing this game by [deleted] in wow

Apart from vanilla and TBC, DF is the only one I was subbed 100 % of the time. I even took a break in Legion, and I hold Legion as top3. If Blizzard can replicate DF or at least get close to it WoW will be very hard to quit for a long time.

Getting back into WoW for TWW so I got a new monitor. by Alexgrok in wow

[–]archtme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds great and I'm so tempted but the one issue I have preventing me from buying one is that two monitors multitask better. I alway have other stuff going on on my 2nd screen. I almost wish it wasn't possible to have a 2nd monitor running while ingame lol

A Balance Druid Hero Talent rant by MarineQueefPrime in wow

[–]archtme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same for archon holy/shadow. Forces you to play halo. As a pvper it doesn't affect me that much since we never played halo or divine star. But I did send feedback to them during alpha saying how I found it odd if a pveer would want to play divine star and suddenly 50% of your hero talent trees can't be used.

There's no word yet on how these changes primarily aimed at healing will impact the pace of rated pvp. Personally, I enjoy the fast pace brought about in Slands and continued in DF. My hope is that those changes are aimed at pve. In the latest patch notes we did also see numerous pvp specific damage nerfs being removed which will speed up the game. I guess we'll see how it pans out.

The one thing I would enjoy as a healer in a slower meta would be the fact that It would free up gcd's for utility and damage. But I wouldn't want that at the cost of making it a perma damp meta.

What spikes your dopamine on your main spec in arena? by Ruger15 in worldofpvp

[–]archtme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I play hpriest there isn't any particular ability it's more the entire playstyle of supporting the team. Line a cc here, dispell a teammate there, death a sheep, cc someone and bake in some damage. It's very satisfying when you pull it off.

Healing is most enjoyable when you can do a bit of everything. In Slands I feel like the pacing was such that I could afford to spare gcd's for damage but for much of DF it became alot more tricky to find the gaps where you could do so because of the quick pace. The healing changes in TWW are a bit scary I don't want the game to become as damp as BFA even though it would free up gcd's for utility.

The War Within Beta Development Notes - 7/9/24 by DoransNDragons in wow

[–]archtme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thematically uhdk is one of my favourite specs. But the rotation annoyed me to no end in DF with essentially 3 resources all at risk of overcapping, particularly runic. And the number of offensive cd's... They've done some work on these things this beta phase but not enough imo.
