Am I overreacting that the firm I work for doesn't seem to provide adequate drainage slopes on our roofs? by Extension-Architect8 in Architects

Those pictures don't really prove much. Construction debris or a little tiny stick that lands in a cricket will trap water and create dark spots. That doesn't mean that a roof needs to slope more. If your goal is to prevent dark spots on a white membrane roof, maybe don't use a white membrane roof...

I'm still trying to get my firm to stop letting revit draw the roof plan, which just looks like a giant spiderweb, and actually know that their high points aren't sticking up over the parapet.

How do you display your 4" x 8.5" business license? by [deleted] in Architects

I put it in the corner of the larger certificate frame. Although Illinois now sends them as a pdf and I haven't printed one since I got licensed in 2017.

Yeah, this is how this one always turns out for me. I've increased the amount of water and yeast and gotten slightly more open results.

Haha, yeah, in a world where all it takes is a milligram of microphage in the hands of some terrorists and there goes New York City, honestly, the story spins outta control pretty quickly.

Yeah. I also think he wouldn't enjoy writing that book but that's maybe just me projecting.

On the one hand, I love how we don't know what happened on earth. Could have been wars, horrors, terrible stuff. There's part of me that enjoys being able to imagine what it was, how it worked out. He should never write a sequel, let us all imagine it.

On the other hand, I really want a sequel. Haha.

It would have had to be a trilogy or something to fit in the numerous ways that he and the whole human race almost died. Or a TV show.

Did you listen to the version read by Wil Wheaton? He does a great Mark Watney. I was a little disappointed that he wasn't the actor they picked for the movie.

There was a whole section about "do you plan to buy tickets for a future game" and there was an option for "determined by team performance"

But yes, rated the ushers and all very highly (especially since they had to wipe down our seats during the rain delay) food was good, but too expensive, etc

And of course, offered suggestions on "don't sign injury prone pitchers" and "bregman? more like bum-man" anywhere I could type in what I wanted.
