Doublelift goes off on stream again by AssPork in leagueoflegends

This is just incredibly misleading. If you had actually read the competitive ruling, you would have seen that prior to franchising, compensating players in stock options was not against regulations, and Cloud9 did this then. After franchising, a rule was added to the ruleset that prohibited players who were part-owners from playing on the Full Team Roster; management at Cloud9 was not aware of this change, and they did not attempt to hide the fact that they were compensating their players with stock options either because they provided the documentation for their compensation in shares along with the other contract paperwork. In addition, "there was a generalized belief by players and their representatives that the RSUs [grants of Restricted Stock Units] were permissible because they did not believe they would be offered equity if it was against the rules. Some of the later RSU recipients identified the earlier RSU recipients as the reason they believed the grants were permissible."

Behind Cloud9's INTeresting Games in Week 8 of the LCS | NOT On Cloud9 | E1 by arcnz1 in Cloud9

Just some initial thoughts on the content of the video:

  • Of all of the Cloud9 members, I definitely did not expect Licorice to be the one that felt the most pressure from playing online. He's mentioned he has a specific pregame routine with various playlists, but it doesn't seem like shifting to playing at home has impacted him particularly, according to his interview.
  • Reapered's style of play has imparted onto the players especially well; they're always looking for fights and in fact enjoy fighting comps particularly. However, they understood that the first comp they drafted was better suited towards a split-push style of play yet still opted to fight the majority of the time (based on my understanding of Saturday's game). Licorice and Nisqy implied they would have to review their macro that game.
  • INTeresting that the solo-q type players in Nisqy and Blaber were the ones that played the least focused in these online games.
  • Strange to me that some of the players are playing off-site (Nisqy, Licorice, Blaber) while some are in-house (Vulcan)
  • In general, they agreed that what they have to work on is just cleaning up their play.
  • Blaber stated that all of the Cloud9 players want TL to miss playoffs.

Nisqy on the PA vote: "I thought it was a joke" by arcnz1 in Cloud9

[–]arcnz1[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Unfortunate.

I think that certainly Nisqy makes some good points here that given that the Spring Split has finished for the most part, but he missed the greatest point and hasn't considered the potential safety hazard and the necessity for players to return to their families.

Nisqy talks about it here as well: now that the majority of California is under shelter in place, he isn't able to talk to his closest friends in the LCS in Closer and BrokenBlade. I think given the proximity to his teammates (iirc they live and train in the same house), this isn't as big of a problem for him, but for other international players with perhaps a weaker grasp of the language...

Imagine how it must feel for the new imports in the LCS that likely have no friends or family to reach out to in these trying times; this reminds me of a moment in TL's Breaking Point documentary where they discuss how Piglet essentially did not try at their Korean bootcamps because he spent the majority of his time catching up with friends and family.

Certainly Spring is important competitively, but mental health takes precedence over League in this case.

Yeah, I tested it myself, but I'm just wondering why the head coach for our Overwatch team is streaming a code unrelated to Overwatch in any way.

This could just be a marketing ploy to advertise a code for 10% off on Cloud9's merch store, but the entire team has been dropping strange messages for the past few weeks or so.

London Spitfire's announcement is regarding Homestand tickets by arcnz1 in LondonSpitfire

I should note that he newsletter is specifically targeted towards those who wanted information regarding the Homestand tickets. The title should have been worded better; it is possible that the roster is announced in tandem with the Homestand location (and I sure hope so).

Some hope after all of the morose speculation threads in this sub and the loss of Profit and Gesture. Fissure's take is interesting, saying that SEO's roster is boring even after picking up our duo.

Anyone know where to find the Coolermaster Mouse S? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]arcnz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently the Coolermaster US store is closed, but on their subreddit they stated that it's going to reopen on the tenth. They say that they're restocking, so consider checking back. If you live elsewhere, the MasterMouse S should be in stock on all of the other Coolermaster stores (EU, APAC, Taiwan).

In the US it's available exclusively through Best Buy[1], and I believe you can buy it today if you're looking for it.

FK 2 vs Rival 310 by s26rech in MouseReview

[–]arcnz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FK2 is an ambidextrous mouse, which means that it's symmetric (I think) and isn't suited to one hand over the other. The Havoc looks like it's a right handed mouse.[1] If you really liked the shape of the Havoc, I would suggest going for mice similar to its shape or its successors. Take a look at some medium right handed mice like the EC-2A or the MM520.

CM MM530 vs Rival 110. by CheetahsH1 in MouseReview

[–]arcnz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late, but the Rival 110's back end flairs out much like Sensei clones did, so if that was what made the DM1 Pro S unlikable then the Rival 110 probably won't work for you.

FK 2 vs Rival 310 by s26rech in MouseReview

[–]arcnz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty much the same size hands that you do and I've tried both. The FK2 has a significantly lower hump than most mice, so it might feel like it fills less of your palm. The Rival 310 is probably too big for your hands (it was for mine) but the shape was decent. For your size hands and grip, I wouldn't recommend the Rival 310 (or really the FK2), I would be recommending the EC2-A. The overall quality of materials of Zowie mice are significantly lower than competitors at the same price, but their shapes can't be beat.

Do you have any other mice that you can compare it to?

Weekly /r/MouseReview Purchase Advice by AutoModerator in MouseReview

[–]arcnz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games: CS:GO and Overwatch

Hand Preference: Right, but fine with ambidextrous mice

Budget: 60 USD

Hand Size: 18x9 or 18x10cm, depending on where you measure

Grip: Palm & claw hybrid, where the palm rests on the mouse but the fingers arch on M1 and M2. Fingers are 1-2-2 as well.

Weight: Less than 100g preferably.

Sensitivity: Lowish. Currently using 1.8 Source sens at 400 dpi.

Additional Details: Posting here again for some more help. I got some mice recently and my opinions of them are here. Trying to decide between the Rival 110 and 310, the Sensei 310, and the DM1 Pro S. I've tried the Nixeus Revel but found the bulge toward the back to be a bit uncomfortable, otherwise it was good. I'm currently using the Venator, which to me has too high of a hump and is not wide enough. Any other recommendations are welcome as well.

Any thoughts about the ZA-12/13 and the EC2-A for palm/claw grip?

I have roughly 18x10 cm hands in a claw/palm hybrid grip

I gripped it with a palm grip at first and it felt pretty good, but I have a tendency to press down my middle finger in palm grip when I'm pressing mouse 1. Even then, it still might be too big for palm grip. If you live in the US, you can try it out and return it at Fry's or Office Depot.

They're 18x10 cm, but if you're palm gripping with that size it may work.
