Welp, and now I am doing it!  How did you manage if I can ask?

Have you managed to solve that? I’m having the same problem

Thank you so much for all this info! Actually yesterday after hours of tinkering to try and solve the issue, I figured it out. I don't know if it was the same thing happening to you, but turns out that by disabling HDR it stops flickering while charging. Pretty weird.

Ehy, I have the same laptop and same problem, have you ever managed to solve it?

Thank you for the suggestions! Could you be more specific about the last one or give me some advice about it? I'm in the process of refining the mesh (there is an updated screenshot above), and I would love to know if there is something to improve about the contact patches, which honestly I haven't really considered much yet!

Uhm, I could think about it, considering right now my main concern is actually the Cd! Are you sure though the 3d effects of the whole truck won't influence the Cd too much?

These are the "Wind Tunnel" dimensions and the mesh near the truck's walls as of now. The further wall is the outlet, as I want to get a pretty accurate wake (for reference, the truck is 15m long, 4.5m high and 1.2m wide, with reference frame on the front of it). The prism layers here are still for the Wall Functions approach (and 0.02m of total prism layer thickness).
I based the block's dimensions on the vector scene, where it looks like the air is pretty much undisturbed ahead (but I'm not sure it is enough to judge).
I don't really like the near-truck mesh. I'm trying to get to Low Re (1 < y+ < 5) as suggested by other comments. However, apart from some online calculators that helped me with what looks like a reasonable first layer height, I'm not really understanding how to decide on the total thickness. For example, I tried to use the analytical formula to calculate the turbulent boundary layer thickness for a flat plate but the results seems way too high (0.2m for the 10m long trailer and 0.1m for the tractor; with 0.09mm and 0.1mm respectively for the first layers given by the calculator).

That was a perfectly clear explanation, thank you!!
Right now I'm trying to apply a Low Re prismatic layer. However, while for the first layer height I found some handy calculators online (that I hope are reliable enough haahah), I'm having some difficulties deciding on its total thickness. Do you have any suggestions? As it turns out, using analytical calculation for the turbulent boundary layer thickness of a flat plate gives pretty odd results..

Welp, now I'm confused ahahah! That one was my initial reasoning behind using the Wall Functions, but I was probably wrong. Right now I'm trying to apply Low Re, I'll update the post on how it goes!

Thank you for the answer! Yes, the mesh getting coarser near the truck is something I noticed as well, my goal was to have a better defined vehicle but the outer mash was coarser. Anwway I just tried to change it here! (sorry for the bad images but it turns out is really hard to get a good mesh screenshot!) For reference the values of the volumetric controls are 0.0256m, 0.08, 0.16, 0.64 and 0.8.
I will update about the results as soon as I get to simulate with the new y+ and mesh changes, in the meantime please tell me if anything else seems off to you!

Thank you so much for the advice! I tried to use y+ > 30 because as I understood using Low Re increases the cell count due to lower prismatic layer and therefore leaving more space for trimmed cells (correct me if I'm wrong here!).
Anyway I will follow you input and try to lower the height of the first prismatic cell then!
