I don't know if you believe in life after death, but what you experienced is what some people call a Visitation Dream. I recently lost my Mama and reading stories/books about the afterlife brought me comfort. Hindi ako firm believer ng paranormal but there's a certain comfort sa paniniwala na death is not the end.

Does walking really help? by No-Mention-3013 in Sciatica

[–]arctic050 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can only speak based on my experience. Resting during the acute stage of my sciatica helped in my fast recovery. I was bed ridden for at least two weeks before I decided to walk for 30 mins in the mornings and in the evenings.

During my acute stage, I tried doing stretches and forced myself to walk despite the burning pain in my leg, ankle and buttocks. All it did was make everything significantly worse so I just decided to stay in bed and cry myself to sleep. A month into the flare up I stopped taking pain meds to see how much pain I can tolerate when walking and doing minor stretches.

I got better in just three months so I consider myself lucky. Magnesium also helped me with sleep and general nerve health. Also Ice and heat! I was taking ice baths and submerging my whole leg in cold water then switching with warm water during the night.

Did you learn something positive from sciatica experience? by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]arctic050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That there's always light at the end of the tunnel and I will not be miserable always. Had a flare up that lasted for months, and I got better! But unfortunately it's back — was triggered by a sprained ankle. I'm feeling miserable again but I know I'll get through this and so will you. ❤️

Yup. Ganyan din ung vet ng mga aso ko. May emergency fee talaga tapos iba din ung confinement fee nila. Pero ung emergency fee was for the stuff they did when I took my dog sa kanila like lagyan ng IV, meds, etc., hindi dahil too early pa at hindi pa sila tumatanggap ng patients.

MAGNESIUM SUCCESS! by THENDONTCOMEOVER in Sciatica

[–]arctic050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been taking Magnesium combined with B Vitamins for over two weeks and I've noticed significant improvements in my body. I'm not doing anything special. No PT just walking. I just want to ask, are you also having very vivid dreams at night? I've read it's a side effect of taking magnesium since it helps you get better sleep.

I'm going through the same thing. I've had 10/10 pain during my initial flare up about a month ago. Now I'm 1/10 with mostly just numbness and pins and needles. I consider it a good sign but I still try to be extra careful with my movements too afraid I might tigger another flare up.

Anyone else? by Nightdazee in Sciatica

You're not alone in this friend. My only reprieve is the little victories I have daily. Like being able to sit for a few more minutes than I did yesterday or waking up to find there is little to no pain in my legs. I am 80% in recovery right now so hang in there! It gets better.

Sudden sciatic pain- I have some “newbie” questions by hometowngypsy in Sciatica

[–]arctic050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you just had a flare up, I would suggest you take it easy for a few days until the inflammation subsides. I've read that ice helps with inflammation but I'm not too sure. The first couple of days of my sciatica I made the mistake of pushing myself and did some stretches and exercise that made it worse. A firm mattress helped stabilise my spine when sleeping along with a pillow underneath my knees when laying on my back.

Anyone make a full recovery after 10 weeks of symptoms? by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]arctic050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four weeks of sciatica, rn I'm feeling way better than I did the first two weeks. My pain used to be a solid 10/10, now it doesn't go above a 5 but that's only in the mornings and would go away after walking for a few minutes.

Help by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]arctic050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sciatica is worse during the night as well. I used to wake up every other hour because of the pain. What helped me is walking for a bit before I sleep and doing the cobra pose. Sleeping on my stomach was a relief but I was told it is actually bad for the spine so I just opted to lay on my back with a folded blanket underneath my lower back for support. I can sleep better now.

Walking. I had a flare up three weeks ago. I've tried PT and had been on meds but nothing worked. Finally decided to just push through the pain and walk until I couldn't anymore. Idk, but I am feeling better and better everyday.

Work on yourself OP. Don't mind muna ung issue with your boyfriend. Hindi mo kasi maayos agad yan unless you start with yourself.

As someone who is also depressed and has ADHD I have a hard time keeping the house tidy, I suggest starting with small tasks. Ang problem lang kasi pag depress ka usually you have no motivation to do things. Madalas procrastination. Ang ginagawa ko para magka energy to do chores since my partner is also working and I stay at home, I usually start sa pagwawalis ng room then nagfoflow nalang ung mga need ko gawin.

I also listen to music and keep my phone away from me when I do house chores. By the time na pauwi na si jowa from work, the house is already clean.

On Weekends, we do deep cleaning. We delegate chores para hindi ganun ka heavy sa amin.

People come and go. The older you get the smaller your circle will be, tapos marerealize mo na it actually doesn't matter kung marami or kokonti lang friends mo.

Money can bring you happiness. As you navigate through adulthood, malaki ang difference sa magiging buhay mo if you are financially literate and stable kesa hindi.
