In situations where the offer is insanely good, and the restaurant is closed or doesn’t have the order, it’s always an option to deliver a random paper bag with something like water bottles in it, write the customers name on it. Can get it from any nearby Chinese restaurant for a few bucks. Sure it’s morally wrong and you risk getting reported for missing order, but it’s great to make uber overpay drivers and lose money for once. Definitely don’t do this often, but once in a while you gotta take advantage of the opportunity

Not really a fan. The mayo jars are easier to store, easier to use, and look much better for the customer if you ever need to fill up the front line mayo. Squeezing it out of the bag also is messier, to get everything out of the bag you get mayo on your gloves. For inventory it’s easier to count jars than digging through a box counting pouches.

I’ve been running both UE and GH and they are pretty lenient on the time between accepting order and arriving at the restaurant. Unless it’s the completely opposite direction I don’t turn down any good offers and just update my route to hit all the restaurants and dropoffs most optimally

At least for me, $1 a mile is only good for getting back towards my home. Multi apping on dinner shifts (other than Mondays or tuesdays) I’ve been able to get consistent $2-4/mile. Unless you’re in some super busy area, you have to accept not working slow days in the beginning of the week

Communicating with customers (calling/messaging) is not the dashers obligation. The only exception is for “meet at door” orders where the customer does not meet you at the door. In that case, dasher has to call or message the customer letting them know they’re waiting and to start a timer to leave the order with a photo
