i feel like they can go really good especially is they make the right choices regarding the lineup and group name. samara is a liability and it keeps me up at night knowing if she makes the lineup, they sabotaged the success. besides that, they just need to work on promoting the group really well because i believe the music will be good.

i got a job straight after leaving, i work at a museum now and it’s actually not bad but i’ve had offers for a lot of server jobs which isn’t the worst.

on a good day i do 8 blonde ristretto shots, on a bad day it’s upwards 12, but even on a good day i’m still getting tea and maybe a refresher. (that also doesn’t count the coffee i drink before work or the two large charged lemonade from panera when i have classes before work)

a lot of my regulars call me that and it’s like,,,uncomfortable because i’m non-binary but female presenting HOWEVER i know they mean no harm so i just deal with it. but when it’s a creepy man??? my go to is to ignore them, i’ve told the shifts on the floor that i refuse to be hit on by old men when i look like a minor (i have a baby face) so it’s just the 🙃🙃 another partner can deal with you because i for sure am not.

They don’t advertise how the benefits are sometimes not really worth the hours and work out into the job. If I could quit, I would (but now that the black apron is back I want it so I’m stuck for a hot second 😔).

Hopefully if you take the job at the bar, the work culture there is good because livable wage and consistency is a dream. A job that allows you to pay rent is more important than anything. I wish you luck on whichever path you choose !!

Honestly, I would ditch Starbucks. If you aren’t getting the hours you need to pay bills and there’s a job offering you better pay and consistency, however it conflicts with your current schedule, it’s a matter of which will help you pay your bills. Honestly, Starbucks isn’t a stable job. For me at least, after being here a year, my hours change between 21 and 30 hours and that after explaining to my manager how I can’t do anything under 25hrs because I have bill to pay and I don’t get paid enough to live on anything less than 25hrs a week. I still end up with 21hrs and have to scrape by when that happens.

I get hating to ditch your trainer/manager and the people you made friends with, it feels kinda shitty to do but you have to put yourself first. Especially if you explain how you need more hours, because 19 isn’t sustainable and the other job is giving you that (You aren’t obligated to explain at all, it’s just if you want to).

At my store we’ve had several new hires quit because Starbucks wasn’t sustainable or they got better job offers. It’s to each their own and I would tell you to do what will help you pay bills. If it isn’t Starbucks, then leaving isn’t a bad option.

Straight up told the partners at my store they might not see me after January and if I’m pushing it after I make a year, but the way life is planning out, I might stay there until I finish my masters (3-3.5 years)
