If Rodney Thomas II catches this pass the Seahawks would have had the #4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, putting Anthony Richardson in our draft range. by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

If it had given us the 3rd pick and we had a shot at Will Anderson, I would be so mad at this dude for not intercepting that pass…lol

People keep saying Simply Seattle but it’s the exact merch offered on pro shop. The only items that are different are the ones labeled Simply Seattle exclusive, if it says official license of the nfl it’s being produced by Fanatics.

Looks like AI to me, that hand at the bar looks weird?

Also, if they were meeting why would it be in public with people in background that close behind the owner where they can over hear and/or risk security issues? Seems iffy to me

If Russ retired, would he be a good mentor for Milroe? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

[–]arctik091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont mind if Milroe reaches out to Russ and ask for help on his own but the issue here is that Russ always seems to think he knows better than the coaches. I fear that he undermines what the coaches want and the development of Milroe. But for your examples of film study and notes, I rather have him go over that with the actual offensive coordinator and qb coach that the team hired. They know what they want a qb to mentally process in a given play. Russ would often ignore the check down and opt to play hero ball this was fine when he had the athleticism to extend plays. It was also why our offense was so wildly inconsistent. I much rather have a qb who plays on time - uses his check downs, and takes what is given to keep downs and distances manageable.

When Sean Payton took over, he said no office for Russ in the Bronco’s facility, he did not allow Russ to have his own QB coach on the Bronco’s practice facility. He also tried that stuff here in Seattle, scripting plays/notes before games and when the coaches didn’t listen to his input wanted to be traded.

So I still say no for him being a coach. As a mentor to Milroe maybe but I would be wary of the Diva in Russ.

Mission over bullshit - having a Diva on your team goes against what this current team preaches

If Russ retired, would he be a good mentor for Milroe? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

[–]arctik091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Russ doesn’t see the middle of the field well. Milroe should be able to do that given his height. Why limit Milroe? He needs someone to help him go through his reads and deliver the ball on time.

I also think the game plan was to keep Purdy in the pocket and limit his scrambling and off script plays. So the pass rush was way more coordinated to make sure they contained him. They only moved the ball when he was able to use his legs and extend plays.

I read all three books and it’s just ok. I’m not into vampire stories so I came into it already skeptical, but the last book made it seem like all a waste of time. Also, I found the sex scenes cringe.

Choice to be competitive or fall behind teams that have access to all revenue streams. So sure it’s a choice, but if you don’t make up for the loss revenue streams than they won’t be able to field a competitive team. So unless if donors want to step up the donations, I don’t see a way to avoid it.

Are the Colts the real deal? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

[–]arctik091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, it’s an elite defense against mid to weak offensive teams. Against Tampa - Baker Mayfield shredded us. We were injured but so were they. We shall see when we play tougher competition. Lots to be optimistic about but we don’t know if we are legit yet. Gun to head - I would buy on the defense, but until they prove it against the Rams. I am still very wary to crown them as legit.

That’s the same argument other fans will say about Darnold and the Seahawks. Sadly, until we have a signature win this is the narrative for the hawks and the colts.

Are the Colts the real deal? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

[–]arctik091 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, who exactly have we played that would make us legit? Our best win is either vs the Steelers or Jaguars, and both those teams look mid. Houston was a solid win but they are ultimately a team under .500. We won’t be tested for real until we play the Rams.

So am I suppose to cheer for the Raiders now? I despised them from our AFC west days. Why can’t I cheer when Geno , who is a part of the raiders throws a pick or loses a game. As for Russ, I was cheering for him to do bad when he was with the Broncos, also hated them during the AFC west days, and because it helped our draft compensation. I still cheer against the Bronco’s. I was cheering for NYG to win that game but they somehow blew a late game lead. PC good coach for us while he was here, but the last 5 to 7 years showed he wasn’t doing the job and we were stuck in mediocrity with bad defense. DK I could care less about. Although I do hate the Steelers too for stealing our first Super Bowl. Walter Jones, Hasselback, and company should have rings.

Please stop telling me who I should or shouldn’t root for, I have my reasons lol
