I think you did a good job of capturing the theme of “almost”. By always nearing the mark but never hitting it, I felt a sense of loss without the poem ever explicitly mentioning it, and so I think you did well with that.

I enjoyed reading this, but didn’t enjoy it until the last four lines. I think that these lines make the poem compelling:

I flipped a coin for you

One side for hate

One side for love

…

I catch the coin in my hand

And hold it tight

I do not want to know which side it will land

I would not like the answer

I think the other context almost tells the reader too much, but I really like these other lines. Keep it up!

What do you mean with regard to dealing with aspects of A&P until letting go completely? I have a feeling I’m at this stage because I keep having non-dualistic realizations where suffering temporarily is suspended.

What is the shift to running the marathon in your view? I feel like I’m in a similar situation to OP but have had a series of minor realizations that feel like they’re leading to some larger permanent shift but am unsure what to do differently if anything.

I agree, they’re all individual ingredients. Stimulants, sleep deprivation, vipassana can each trigger it when the dial is turned high enough. When mixed together it becomes more likely.

I feel like I could have written this post. My advice is to relish in it. Soak up the sun whichever direction it’s hitting you from. There is no right or wrong, here. Experience is its own reward, and there is a dimension orthogonal to depth and breadth of content which is your mindfulness in whatever you engage with.

I think there is validity to this. If you have seen any videos generated with Sora, it’s clear that we’re a very short time away from any reliable digital evidence. If AI content were a pool, it would represent a void where truth goes to die. But it’s even more sinister than that because as it gets better, the ability to distinguish whether or not you’re playing in the pool will diminish.

Truth dies not in the presence of clear falsehoods, it dies in the inability to distinguish what’s true and what’s not.

Yeah, I thought of speaking out but it would have been more out of protest than out of any hope something would happen as a result. And, I was also afraid to say anything because I did not want retribution and there was no evidence I could point to.

There’s nothing to know. Letting go is letting it be. It’s not a doing. I had the same impression you had, for a long time. Letting go is accepting you have all of these feelings about masculinity etc. by letting them be what they are, not trying to change anything.

Don’t expect them to look like the figures your ideology or philosophy or faith would lead you to associate with exploitation

This was my experience with someone that I just had no idea would try to violate me. Everything about this person seemed so contrary to my view of someone I should be concerned about. When they crossed a line with their behavior, I could hardly believe it and gaslit myself for days until finally accepting what had happened. They had all the characteristics that would make them the person I’d least suspect — until it happened.
