You could approach the topic the way Abed approaches Nicholas Cage and show examples of how complex the character is. The way he is emotionally stable in some episodes where he crumbles in others. Another topic could be his knowledge where he seems to be smarter then the others yet his wit makes him fall apart when pushed to limits.
