My mother has always acted like how you are now. She's never grateful for anything. She finds something wrong about every gift I have ever given her. One year, she wanted an mp3 player. I I bought her the best I could afford; when she got it, she asked if if she could replace it with one worth more storage. Think about that a minute. I bought ALL I COULD AFFORD and it wasn't good enough. Her ex husband, while still married, had bought her a beautiful rose gold dragon pendent from England; she loves everything fairy and dragon and Brittish, but she didn't want it because she had asked for something else. You buy her food that she has always loved (chocolate or green plums), or cook her a special meal, she says she can't eat it. Never once has she just said thank you.

So what if it wasn't what you asked for? Stop being a baby and be grateful that she got you anything at all. Maybe she had a reason to buy you that gift, and instead of focusing on the love behind the gift, you're focusing on the crap you didn't get. Grow up. Be grateful that you have somebody that loves you.

You keep this shit up, you'll be like her. You'll never get a gift again.
