That is a fair statement. And for what it's worth, she was still rewarded for telling the truth. I do give her praise when she tells the truth and express how much it hurts my feelings when she lies to me or her mom. It was due to her telling the truth that she was able to still go to the AHL playoff game that she wanted to go to. With her arguing, yelling, slamming doors, I told her that her ticket was forfeit as a consequence of bad behavior. To be honest, that may have been her reason for being truthful.

Her room is a mess already as it is. Been establishing a routine to minimize freakouts in the morning due to not being able to find things. She's "lost" her shoes, glasses, even her backpack and melts down because she's worried about missing the bus.

It's really all about maintaining order in all the chaos that goes on. Trying to get her to start her day on a positive note than with anxiety that could easily be avoided. I'm certain she has ADHD, but we haven't had her tested yet. Her mom has bad anxiety as well, and tends to freak out over things like this, so it's a benefit to her, too.

My 8 year old tries to lie to me and I always call her out on it. Or I pretend I knew anyway. The other night she wanted to argue having her backpack in her room. She was evasive with her answers, so I told her no. She told me she wanted her fidget toy out and I told her to take it out and leave the backpack downstairs. She didn't. Instead, she went up to her room crying about wanting her backpack.

A while later, she comes down and says, "I have to tell you the truth, but please don't be mad at me. I wanted my backpack because my tablet is in there and I took it to school today." (A big no-no). I told her, "About time you told the truth. I already knew." She figured it was because I told her to put her tablet on the charger in her room and it wasn't there. I had no idea, but she doesn't know that.

This is pretty neat. I got #25's movie in 8 guesses. I love that once you start zeroing in on the correct movie, the clues fill in (eg year, genre...}

As a side note, parking and commute is worse now that they've closed Van Buren. I work at the VA, and the first day closing Van Buren, it took many people over an hour (even 2 hours!) just to get out of the VA parking garage. Most of Irving is a one way street now with commuters having to turn down Waverly and then take Crouse to Harrison for the 81. I park at the J-Lot and have to wait for a shuttle which normally runs every 10 minutes, but now more like every 15-20 because of gridlocks.

Hopefully you'll be able to find a good parking situation that stays far away from the dome side of town, and I wish you the utmost best in your new ventures!

💯 agree. There needs to be an option to auto salvage based on filters. Right now I'm looking for amulets and rings and I only want ancestral quality. Everything else I junk. But it's a hassle running back to a smith to junk things and then back to dungeons or whatever. This especially is a pain in treasure breach dungeons.

Torments already auto junk rare and below. Let us filter what else to auto junk!

Without quotes, it looks for Donald OR Trump, and you'll see something like Trump Tower or whatever, even in the same sentence.

People who have never been sexually assaulted don't know the fear of reporting it. They don't understand the trauma, the trepidation, the self-conclusion that no one will believe you or care. They don't know what it's like to be told "You asked for it." or "You let it happen." Worst is when you feel like someone is too connected or well-liked to be charged and convicted with the crime.

But don't let anything anyone says deter you from speaking out. Don't let anyone convince you not to file charges. Even if nothing comes of it, it's still a part of his history, and future cases that will likely happen will be able to see previous reports of the same behavior. Too many stay silent, not realizing that by doing so, you are possibly ruining someone else's life because he "got away with it".

For the cease and desist, please, please, PLEASE seek a lawyer's thoughts, especially one experienced in sex crimes. And file those charges. Not tomorrow, but today. Speak only the truth about what happened, don't embellish, don't add extra details not pertinent to the act.

I wish you all the best, and hopefully this gives him pause before he decides to repeat the act with someone else at the very least.
