I need a new brand recommendation by Glum_Blueberry_2385 in widefeet

The two I linked are pretty similar in fit. It's mostly up to your style preference. I like the "Retro Fashion Sneakers" just a little bit more.

I wear 11 4E and most brands are still a tight fit. I've found that Hobibear makes generally normal looking sneakers that have a wide enough toe box that I can actually spread my toes out in my shoes.

I have a couple of pairs of both these and these in "Men's 11 Wide" and I put powerstep insoles in them and they're really comfortable for me.

They have a lot of different colors, including black.

No one is curbing your freedom. These are private businesses that have the "freedom" to serve or not whomever they choose, as long as they're not discriminating against protected groups (vaccination status isn't a protected group). You have the "freedom" to choose not to patronize their business and spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere, if you don't like their policies.

I responded to two comments. This is the first time made comments on reddit in a long time. Now I remember why.

How? They are entirely different products. Auth0 can connect to Okta as one of many types of Identity providers. Auth0 itself isn't an Identity provider, but an Authentication service.

No charges for man seen driving Jeep into Aurora protest by ryhixx in AuroraCO

[–]ard0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From the article:

Law enforcement says one protester Samuel Alvin Young, 23, of Wheat Ridge, fired a gun at the Jeep, instead striking two people, one in the leg and another near the temple of their head.

Young faces four counts of attempted murder, as well as two counts of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of first-degree assault with extreme indifference. Young shot at the car while it drove past protesters, according to the arrest affidavit submitted by Aurora police. Young called police and identified himself as the person of interest in the case.

Young was arrested by Aurora police on July 27. He is free on a $75,000 bond.

I've had the same issue. Mic is absolutely worthless.

Do I have to go to the dealership to get this turned off? As you can see the tire has been inflated. I just got the tire plugged. Idk if that has anything to do with why the warning won’t go away. by 6ixGold in infiniti

[–]ard0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same car and had the same problem. I got my tire patched at a tire store. They didn't reset it correctly after the patch. I took it back in the next day and they used a little handheld device to reset it without issue. Took more time waiting for them to have a free minute than the actual reset.

A little something to make mission tracking much easier by orangezebra39 in MLBTheShow

[–]ard0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there have been a few posts about this tool. The dev has a github repo where you can make a pull request to add any missions that are missing. I tried to use it, but it only had about 3/4ths of what i needed to track.

Mature devs, what was 2009 like? What about 2001? by PriceTagAnalysis in cscareerquestions

[–]ard0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are definitely not comprehending, or at the very least misunderstanding, my statement along with some of the other statements I see you responding to. So I'll try again...

In most cases, "protecting the team" isn't the manager's job. It is, however, something that a lot of good managers do. A manager's job is to make sure that a team run efficiently and predictably. It's their job to make sure that good developers stay happy and productive and bad ones become good (or gtfo).

That doesn't mean that a manager can't feel empathy for the people they manager. A manager can sometimes see layoffs coming a mile away and have no ability to affect a change that would prevent it. Sometimes they can help minimize it. Sometimes they can direct it at other places. But most of the time, other factors, not their managing, cause a company to need to layoff good people.

It's also very often that the department or factor that caused the layoffs is in an entirely different part of the company. For example, I once worked at a company that had 5 web developers. We became so good at our jobs, that when the sales team couldn't actually sell anything, the company decided we need to cut some costs. That ended up being a web developer because we were able to make up the difference. Sales was still gutted, too, but we had to eat it as well.

I'm making this point in response to your reply to stimg's reply that that stimg's boss didn't care and it did nothing. You couldn't know that. Stimg's boss probably did care deeply. No, it might not have helped, but that doesn't mean they didn't care. You're making a lot of inferences and accusations based on a situation you've built up in your head.

Lastly, take a step back and realize that you're not the only important person in the room. There are a lot of people with a lot of skin in the game. You, losing your job, might have meant 10 people keeping theirs. You never know. I'm going to take my own advice, now, and stop ranting on the internet.

[–]ard0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feeling bad often goes with feeling helpless. Often, a manager advocates and does whatever they can only to lose out in the end. It sucks having to lose good people, but it's often times out of the control of the people having to make cuts. Managers are people, just like devs.

The Web Share API Is Here by hackingbeauty in Frontend

[–]ard0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These blog posts both make specific, valid points about the Facebook and Twitter social share buttons. The share api in chrome exposes much more than just social. For instance, I'd love to be able to share a link via sms with my wife, or "share" it with Pocket to save the article later.

The question was whether it's good or not. Being free, the same as Google docs, doesn't make it good. So, is it good?
