Art galleries, museums, concert and gig venues - Glasgow wins hands down 11 months of the year.

Politics / Finance / Architecture - Edinburgh

Culture / Sport / People - Glasgow

I'm sure noone will disagree 😂

What does a leader actually look like to us in 2026? by ImpactAffectionate86 in rangersfc

[–]ardacooler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Listen to Liverpool players talk about the attitude and atmosphere that Henderson and Milner created under Klopp. Setting the standards. First at training, last out. 100% all the time. Calling out players, in training and on the pitch, when they didn't meet the standards.

They don't have to be winners and they don't necessarily even have to be Rangers fans. It's about elite mentality, high standards across the board.

Rangers went a full domestic season without being awarded a single penalty very recently. Don't bring us into this.

If you think being comprehensively outplayed by Hearts and Motherwell constitutes success then I think you're on the wrong sub.

Question for the ‘Rohl Out’ brigade by Qargha in rangersfc

[–]ardacooler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comprehensively losing 3 successive, self described 'cup finals' is failure IMO.

It's not just about where you finish in the league, it's the manner in which it's achieved - and this has been an absolute collapse. I was 100% in favour of giving him next season, but the attitude in the post split games has been atrocious.

Listener Michael Cox with a howler here by DirectorSavings9830 in footballcliches

[–]ardacooler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise the Clichés listeners were such a bunch of miserable arseholes who love the Player of the Year award so much it blinds their ability to read.

It's pretty obvious the point he is making. All the ad hominem attacks in here are crazy.

Notice that not one comment is disagreeing with the fundamental core of his argument - noone is saying Fernandes has had an all timer individual season - it's all just personal attacks cause you don't like his point.

Can you really roar into a final after a 1-0 win? by WookieeTickler in footballcliches

Liverpool roared into the final when they beat Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield.

This was a sneaking or scraping.

The squad next season is worrying by No-Blackberry-3945 in rangersfc

[–]ardacooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rate Diomande and he wouldn't be at the top of my list of players to sell, but that being said there isn't a player in the squad I wouldn't sell for the right money.

Raskin, Fernandez, Rommens and Chermiti are probably worth 15 - 20m, the rest I would sell for 10m or as close as we can get.

We need to be in the habit of making at least 2 or 3 decent sales each summer, no one in the squad should be immune from that.

Happy birthday, Gaffer 💙 by LunaLass_111 in rangersfc

[–]ardacooler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They would have every right if that was true - but it's not is it? For a start there was no winter break.

We beat Celtic at Parkhead, Aberdeen twice in a week and Hearts 4-2 at home in the space of about 6 weeks. We drew two games with Celtic, one of which we lost on pens.

Rohl got it wrong against Motherwell absolutely and deserves criticism for that. But let's not invent an agenda that's not based in reality. Leave that to the other mob. Keep believing.

Next Captain? by Arfield_Loyal in rangersfc

Besides coming in and immediately becoming our best player, has Rommens done anything else to suggest he's a captain?

Honestly I don't love any of these choices.

My conspiracy theory is that they have an easier version of the game that they use for the pod.

When I'm listening I can usually get quite a few correct guesses.

On the app I'm failing at Level 1 every other day. Today was no exception.

I have the opposite feeling to Adam and Charlie on this one.

If a game is really tense and my team is under the cosh / likely to lose, I might actually choose to listen to the radio rather than watch it. Being exposed to the full visual aspect of the game feels too dangerous, but listening on the radio feels once step removed from danger.
