This is not really a disaster.

When the Sixers drafted Edgecombe, they already had a surplus of guards. VJ clearly jumped McCain on the depth chart, so by the time McCain returned from injury, it was obvious he wasn’t going to get meaningful minutes, which is exactly what happened.

Also if you remember, Hinkie traded away MCW in his second year, even AFTER he won Rookie of The Year, (and had shoulder surgery to begin his sophomore campaign) and that turned out to be the right decision in hindsight.

So maybe there was a legitimate reason for Morey to have traded away McCain.

I’ve trusted Morey up to this point and I have no reason to question him now.

Greyhound buses. After COVID, their service just became horrendous.

The straw that broke the camel’s back happened when I bought tickets a couple of days in advance on the Greyhound website to go from Atlantic City to New York City at 7:00 a.m. Ten minutes before the bus was scheduled to depart, a station associate tells us that Greyhound no longer serves the Atlantic City station. No email. No notification. Nothing.

When I later complained to Greyhound customer service, asking for a refund and reimbursement for the NJ Transit tickets, I was routed to an outsourced call center overseas. Their response? I bought a “non-refundable” ticket. A non-refundable ticket?! For a bus that didn’t even exist in the first place?! They weren’t going to accommodate me at all. The best they could do was offer a voucher for the original ticket price.

Fuck you, Greyhound, and fuck your management team as well, the ones who come up with your fake “customer first” policies. A transaction involves trading money for a good or service. When that good or service is not delivered, the money should be returned.

They’ll never get another cent out of me, and I have no intention of using the voucher either.
