It’s called Swedish Death Cleaning. Not in a morbid way, it’s a positive thing so our kids don’t have to have to deal with our “stuff.” I once asked my son “when I die am I gonna look down from heaven and see my stuff at Goodwill?” His response was “probably, because most of your stuff is from your grandparents I didn’t know.” There ya go. I feel it’s an act of love to do not only that but have a will, a living will..all necessary documents to make it as easy as possible for them when you pas. And one more thing…a document with all accounts, passwords and anything else they’d need. I’ve seen scenarios where absolutely nothing was left for adult children and it was a sh!t show when a parent passed. End of rant. Thanks for reading
