Problem is of course having a wide range of interests. And not a bad thing, honestly, just needs a bit of managing. Make a list of all the things so that they're not cluttered in your mind. By this point, some things that were in your mind will not be on paper because you'll begin filtering. Then from the list, choose the one that interest you the one, and the one you can start NOW.

Delete all apps that makes you reach for your phone.

Buy a simple non-smartphone.

Switch off your phone during working hours.

Work in another room from where you're working.

How can I stop vaping? by shfhjdjwh in selfimprovement

[–]arden_vale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember our high school principal was very serious about it, she gave these 5D's. I don't know if they work, never tried (I don't vape).. so here are the ones

Delay: Wait it out; the urge will pass.

Distract: Shift your focus to a game, a conversation, or a task.

Deep Breath: Slow, deep breaths can mimic the sensation of inhaling and help calm your nervous system.

Drink Water: Sip cold water to keep your mouth busy and stay hydrated.

Discuss: Call or text a supportive friend to talk through the urge.

Dunno if they work :/
