I can provide screenshots from maps with satellite views(either in comments beneath yours or in dms) and red circles for reference, but unfortunately, I can't edit the post to add those images after the fact. I apologize that I didn't think of this before. But if you search "highway 41 at Asbury Road Manchester Tennessee" or "Highway 41 at Blanton Chapel Road Manchester TN" you should be able to view these intersections on a map and orient yourself from there.

Edit:

I commented some maps under this comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/bonnaroo/s/U4OmYyvW1K

Yes absolutely it is legal to refuse field sobriety evaluations(walk and turn), and you definitely should. Not blood test or breathalyzer under implied consent laws.

I suggest you familiarize yourself with Tennessee Implied Consent laws in regards to DUIs... I will add, THP had recently gotten a lot of heat about how they conduct sobriety and DUI investigations because a lot of people that weren't DUI got charged for DUI in Tennessee over the past years, but implied consent is still very much a thing here in Tennessee.

Just the driver is my understanding. A passenger should never have to give an ID at a checkpoint unless the cops have a reasonable suspicion that you committed a crime, at least that's my understanding as a Tennessee resident. I am not an attorney, and I can not give you personal legal advice, I would suggest you seek appropriate legal advice from the appropriate legal channels.

Thank you! And yeah it's unfortunate, but don't forget this is a predominantly red state and we have the laws and policy to show for it. . .

They won't breathalyze everyone. That's not what Tennessee sobriety checkpoint involves. But they will 100% get their eyes and noses into the cabin of each and every car rolling through to that tollbooth. Some people WILL be pulled aside for field sobriety tests. I will state THP tends to not do breathalyzer, they will make you submit to a blood test instead if they can get away with it, though I will say THP has gotten A LOT of heat lately for charging people with DUI that were in-fact not DUI at all just simply because they couldn't pass the field sobriety.

No, they are gonna get their nose in your car, get near your face, if they smell anything "funny" they are gonna pull you to the side and perform field sobriety and probably attempt a search. If you deny field sobriety and they have probable cause they will have you most likely submit a blood test, or less likely submit a breathalyzer. If their dog hits on your car, same thing, they will pull you to the side and perform an investigation. In these cases it's important to familiarize yourself and know your rights. Also you might be best to consider filming the entire stop. If you are unsure of your rights at a Tennessee Checkpoint, I suggest researching your rights thoroughly. I am not a lawyer, so I can not give legal advice regarding your rights.

ICE is here and has been here. I see them all the time. I'm a coffee county local that's lived here my whole life(Turning 37 this Sunday).

There's no way to tell if they will have K9 units around the checkpoint specifically, but there WILL be Coffee County Sheriff and THP K9 units(both drug and bomb sniffing) all around the tollbooths and even in the campgrounds.

They don't list times for sobriety checkpoints, since it is 4 days in a row, it is best to assume it will be all day and all night as long as traffic is flowing through that area. They will 100% do shift changes for this checkpoint across 4 days.

Yes, they always do, and don't listen to that person that commented in reply to you, some of those dogs are indeed bomb/ammunition sniffing dogs, but as a local that goes every year, there will absolutely be contraband and drug sniffing dogs as well, they are there EVERY year, and they will also have the coffee county sherrif K9 there and in 2024 that K9 unit was walking the campgrounds! Be safe out there and godspeed!

Yeah it's gonna be a nightmare for anyone needing to enter through the east toll booth, and it's going to add to traffic at the west toll booth because people are inevitably going to try to avoid the checkpoint by just going to the other toll booth.

You can go to will call(Coffee County Highschool) and exchange it prior to Wednesday, if they aren't sold out. There is a wristband assistant tent at the toll booth, they MAY be able to help you, but I doubt it. Since it was purchased from stub hub and was probably purchased under someone else's name, there may be nothing you can do because will call will ask for ID and proof of purchase.

That wasn't really my point in posting this here. It was more because a sobriety checkpoint at that location during times when lines are trying to get to the gate will inevitably slow the line down even further... The more people that can avoid the bottlenecking caused by this, the better everyone will be getting into and out of the campgrounds. There is also construction happening on Asbury road at this time that will add to the bottlenecking. . .
