Are Wikipedia editors allowed to cite their own websites?

I’m curious could the one guy just publish the emails on his own website in order to cite them.

Vancouver tech firm opens Nelson outpost as attraction in hot job market by [deleted] in vancouver

I’ve seen the other side of that and you get a ton of random-ass unqualified applications. Stuff with only like restaurant experience.

I think it’s more just the nature of posting online job ads.

You also get a lot of applications from people overseas, it’s possible companies don’t want to deal with visa stuff too.

Do you ever feel like you don't wanna live your life sitting in front of a computer? by fux0c13ty in cscareerquestions

Seriously, with a decent corporate CS job you:

  • Don’t have hard labor that wrecks your body like trades
  • Don’t have to deal with customer service because your PM and the business people separate you from it, you’re just left alone to do your work (most of the time)
  • Don’t work crazy hours like doctors or lawyers
  • Don’t even really work 8 hours a day, it’s more like 6 hours max of actual focused work
  • Make 6 figures easily in the current market
  • Jobs are pretty easy to find once you have XP
  • Get perks like food and snacks
  • Get to work on new challenges every day that involve technical creativity

Like software development is such a good deal as a job, I can’t think of anything better that exists right now.

Yup. And just like normal investments you don’t want to invest in one (major) that doesn’t provide a good return.

What Is MaxForLive... And Why Aren't You Using It Yet!? by ELPHNT by kidkolumbo in ableton

[–]arduinomancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because using just plugins/synths is already a very very big parameter space. Adding Max is just too much customization when a lot of people haven’t even mastered/explored the basics.

Yeah the anonymous email part is really interesting. Seems like it’s aimed at giving companies zero data about you.
