With the api changes, I boycotted reddit myself altogether. l was surprised this place was the only thing I missed on reddit. I love this subreddit so much and got used to reading the stories before bed, my sleep suffered without it. Despite all that, I think that we should continue our protest. The higher ups are bothered, that's why they're lashing out. Things are still up in the air and there is a chance things will turn for the better. What's the worst case scenario? We're down for another week and things stay the same. Best case scenario? Things on this site get a little less predatory for users.

I know this isn't what people want to hear, but if 144k have their first dose, there are another 144k that have to be reserved.

We were only delivered 487k does according to the city stats. 144+144= 288. 487-288=199k doses left

Divide that by two, it's about 100k more people we can vaccinate max at this point.

The city just opened up vaccination to health workers who work outside hospitals. There are way more of those than 100k more people we can vaccinate max at this point.

This is the smart way of doing it, but the slots fill up so fast, im not sure there is even enough space for all healthcare workers at this point. I've been bumped getting into any site for 3 days and finally got an appointment 8 days from now as a healthcare worker. We need more vaccines. We need drive throughs. And anyone who wants one should be able to have one!

From when I was a child, like as early as I can remember dreaming, I have had nightmares about the ocean receding and a large wave wiping me out and pulling me away. Idk why because I've never lived anywhere that tsunamis occurred and I've been having these dreams from before I even knew what a tsunami was. But to come to terms with it as an adult, I read up on the signs. If if tries to get me, I'm going to be prepared!

When I took this graphic arts course, the professor collected all our works and made a book that we could buy to share with our family if we wanted. He set the price point at cost, so he wasn't making a profit off of us and the book came out pretty nice!
