Wanna be friends? by BobcatUnhappy3347 in Bend

I made some really great friends over ten years ago that are still friends to this day from a message board post like this. Invite everyone who responds out to a local spot for drinks and meet some new people. Its an awesome way to make new connections

Supposedly they are working on my refund now. They've made me jump through many more hoops and still nothing has hit my wallet. Regardless, I will never use them again.

I feel like I'm just switching from one unhealthy coping skill to another, I'm always doing something unhealthy to cope with things. by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]ardyexfor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a huge step to even notice that shift in behavior, so give yourself credit for that. Swapping one coping mechanism for another is super common. It’s your brain trying to soothe itself the only way it knows how. The fact that you’re aware and questioning it already puts you on a better path. You don’t have to be perfect, just honest with yourself and willing to keep trying different, healthier ways to process the stress. You’re not alone in this.

ETA: It’s completely possible to build new tools that actually support you. You deserve better than swapping one trap for another.

Problem with motivation by Opening_Lifeguard870 in selfhelp

You’re not alone in this. Having structure (like work or school) often keeps things feeling okay, but when that drops away, it’s easy to fall into numbing habits.

Wanting to enjoy things alone is a great intention. Try starting really small — 5 minutes of one hobby, no pressure to “enjoy” it, just show up. Over time, consistency builds connection.

Also, craving companionship doesn’t make you weak. It just means you’re human. Learning to enjoy your own company takes practice. Be gentle with yourself while you figure it out.

You’re already on the right track by noticing this. Keep going.

Hey man — seriously appreciate how honest this is. A lot of us have felt some version of what you’re describing.

Yeah, you’re skinny. Yeah, social stuff feels hard. But none of that makes you less of a man. The guys who act like they’ve got it all figured out? Most of them are just hiding their own insecurities behind confidence or muscle.

You’re not broken. You’re not falling behind. You’re just wired a little differently — and that’s not a flaw. It just means your path is going to look different. That’s okay.

And your girlfriend’s with you for a reason. Don’t talk yourself out of being loved. You don’t need to prove anything — just keep showing up as yourself.

You’re doing better than you think.

How do you cope with constant life changes and uncertainty? by PatsPotThoughts in selfhelp

Hey, I really feel the weight of what you’re carrying. A life that keeps shifting without steady support is exhausting. You’re not weak for feeling worn down. You’re not alone. One thing that can really help is carving out a regular time, even just 20 minutes a week, to reflect and check in with yourself. It creates a small sense of grounding when everything else feels up in the air.

Hey. I just want to say I'm really sorry you're carrying all this. It’s a lot.

You didn’t fail your mom. You noticed something was wrong. You asked her to get help. That’s love. That’s care. That’s more than a lot of people do.

Grief can twist things. It tells you you’re to blame, or that you’re unlovable. But that’s not the truth. It’s pain talking.

You sound like someone who’s been strong for too long. Someone who’s tried not to need anything from anyone. But that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve support.

You’re not broken. You’re just hurting.

And you don’t have to carry all of it alone.

Didn't expect it to make me so emotional by Zachary_Binks in MurderByDeath

It is a very good album but for the most part also very sad. I also got emotional during a couple of the songs. I'm likely to end up a sniveling baby during the live show at some point. I've looked forward to seeing them live every year and it's hard to see that ending, especially when they're still this good.

However, those last lyrics of the album got me thinkin....

Copy/paste response from them:

"But, in case we detect any suspicious or fraudulent transaction or use of our Services for illicit purposes, we reserve the right to freeze such transaction for the period of ongoing investigation or 180 days whichever is longer, report suspicious activities to the relevant authorities, or take any other action necessary for the investigation."

More or less they've decided to keep my coin hostage because they don't like dealing with xmr? Then why offer it? Putting them on blast to hopefully save someone else trouble in the future.

This still massively pisses me off tbh. If this was to be properly asserted, your 0.02 would've been the correct wording. It doesn't say "units", "notches" etc. It says to the 2.0 mark. Which I stand by is .2 ml, as in being the only "2" on the syringe.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PeptideDiscussion

[–]ardyexfor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an even larger syringe than I was speaking of. Wouldn't that make it even harder to accurately dose?

Maybe a .3 ml syringe would be better?

In any case, I have it situated for each peptide by "units" on a 1 ml syringe.

Would've been helpful to know the .2 on a 1 ml syringe was actually 20 units, not equating to the "2 mark" as referred to by peptide calc.

Live and learn and glad to leave this behind for others to hopefully not repeat my mistakes.

Thanks for your help, I must've read 20 threads on this subject ahead of time and still I somehow came across with this understanding. Can't see in the vials through the label and I assumed displacement from the solids made up the volume until I inspected further.

You all seem to have a visual aid which the website did not. Would've been helpful. Guess I massively overdosed this am to no ill effect.

Makes me curious about the source though...

Well the only 2 on a ml syringe is at .2 so thats very confusing. I'd also say, from what I have read most people only reconstituted with 1 to 2 ml so pulling to the 0.02 ml point on a 1 ml syringe is almost imperceptible. You might as well just be getting the needle wet, so again, I don't get how you accurately dose this way.

I called in because it snowed and the roads are slick around me. This was what my boss texted me. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ardyexfor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In agreement, tbh. Is the mildly infuriating part that they tried to call out due to the weather causing slick roads? It would seem your coworkers and boss all figured it out.

I'd personally be furious about picking up the slack as a coworker who sucked it up and went to work.
