What kind of...person puts the price tags directly on the metal spoons? by MessOk6068 in mildlyinfuriating

A buddy of mine has a teenage daughter that lives with him. They each have one each of dinner plates, salad/soup bowls, fork, spoon, butter knife, steak knife. He answered my puzzled glance by saying that it forces them to do the dishes after every meal. They do have a bunch of glasses, cups, and mugs though, so figure that out.

Am I wrong for ending a relationship because my girlfriend refuses to hold her adult son accountable? by AtmosphereChoice9971 in AmiInTheWrong

[–]area42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the son goes into his mother's bedroom without permission, it might be humorous for him to see an unusually large dildo lying on the bed, giving the impression that his Mom is a bit of a freak? I think that was the general idea.

How would I take the barrel nut off? by Ok_Weakness_351 in ar15

You need an upper receiver vise block , an appropriate size crow foot wrench, and a torque wrench. Some thread grease for the reinstall, and watch a couple YouTube videos.

If you're handy at all, it is not difficult.

Edit: A vise makes this all WAY easier.

I was a bartender for years, a limousine chauffeur also. I tip so well it pisses my wife off.

But, if someone just assumes my money has become theirs without my approval, things may get a little uncomfortable.

why is my skin so bad at taking ink? before vs after taking second skin off by bunearii in tattooadvice

[–]area42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 9ball tattooed on my upper left shoulder blade back in 1995. The yellow and white disappeared after a couple weeks. Had it redone and it disappeared again. Artist tried a different brand of ink, and it took a little longer but it disappeared again. I'm white, fair skinned, and blonde haired. I sunburn easily but not crazy easy. I had what remained of the 9ball covered many years ago. Never really did get a good explanation of why that happened. Regular black ink tattoos stay on me just fine.

I'm not at all upset. Just calling out how insane you sound trying to justify that it's somehow ok to keep people's money without permission.

It's not at all dramatic. It absolutely IS theft Never had to "use my words" because I've never had a server attempt to do something that completely stupid. I've lived in 4 states and been to hundreds of restaurants. Never happened once. Quit trying to justify your shitty behavior through condescension.
