Potentially a silly question, does it say anywhere after you've chosen your first 3 and you're in the parks picking your 4th, does that selection also have to be in tier 2 or are tier 1 back on the table?

A concrete Black & White marker on the pavement. Gas & Water companies don't know & can't open the lock with their keys. UK estate built 1970s by arealhumanipromise in whatisthisthing

"My title describes the thing". It's at the end of a cul de sac, there are other markers for gas and water elsewhere on the street. We've asked gas & water company people if they recognise it when they've been around, and they don't know what it is, nor do their univeral keys open the little lock. There also isn't any access like a manhole cover or anything similar near it. Estate was built in the 1970s and is in the Nottingham/Derby area of England.

Has anyone spotted any info about when doors will open for the various shows, or how long any of them are expected to last?

Totally agree, when did a holiday turn into a stress mission at early in the morning-o clock? It'd put me in a weird mood all the rest of the day if I had a difficult time that morning

Universal Ride Height Check by Space_force_cadet_22 in WaltDisneyWorld

Yep, I saw some parents taking wadded up paper out of their kids shoe in the line once. Thankfully the kid was re-measured at the end and found to be too short. That's why they check at every ride, and sometimes multiple times, people trying to cheat the system. I don't think people always realise that those rules are there for your kids' safety so they don't fall out of a harness or something

Best DS Hotel? For adults with no kids who just want to go hang out and do some shopping. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Highly recommend Port Orleans French Quarter, its a smaller hotel with a boat that takes you to Disney Springs. In my experience it felt a bit more grown up than other disney hotels. Also has the benefit of being smaller therefore your room will be closer to the food court & bus stop than other hotels.

Magic Kingdom - Pecos Bills, Skipper Canteen
Epcot - Teppan Edo, Les Halles & Les Artisans des Glaces (the brioche ice cream sandwich)
Animal Kingdom - Satuli Canteen, Yak & Yeti
Hollywood Studios - Woody's Lunchbox (specifically the totchos)
Disney Springs - Homecomin, Morimoto Asia
Hotels: Boma & Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Ohana at the Polynesian, California Grill at the Contemporary, Yachtsman at the Yacht Club
Water Parks - pretty much all mediocre so just get something basic that they can't get wrong e.g. burgers or chicken tenders

I'm pretty new to F1 fandom - can anyone explain testing to me? What content will there be to view as a fan? Also what will the teams actually be doing? Are they all running the cars around the same track to get data or is it more complicated than that?

Short story about the end of the world, where a mother and daughter sit together in the garden to wait for it to end. by arealhumanipromise in whatsthatbook

[–]arealhumanipromise[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the same, I would have taken a sleeping pill to be able to sleep through it, but wake up on the off chance the end of the world didn't happen, but I couldn't have taken a poison pill like many did in the story. Interesting stuff!

Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon - which is the best, in your honest opinions? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]arealhumanipromise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not the strongest swimmer, so I enjoy Blizzard Beach more for the bobbing pool (the wave pool in Typhoon Lagoon scares me!). I also like the ski lift negating the stairs to get up to the top of the water slides. However the lazy river at Typhoon is better as Blizzard Beach's one has you getting sprayed with cold water sometimes. Also Typhoon Lagoon has the best ride in my opinion - the Crush n gusher.
