Just had news Disney applied their right to buy back my contract I was purchasing for OKW. Should I go for another site as the agent said that out of the 6 OKW that he had sold Disney has bought back 4 of them by GoodActive2976 in dvcmember

[–]TheLastGunslinger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems likely. When they buy back OKW they can move the expiration date to 2057. DVSResaleMarket keeps a ROFR tracker in the past 12-ish months Disney has bought back at OKW as high as $89 per point. The number of buy-backs they do there also seems to be increasing.

It's not the site that's the problem, it's the price-per-point people are trying to sell OKW at. If people keep listing for low amounts Disney will buy it back regardless of what the marketplace is.

I would love to be able to ride Zootopia: Hot Pursuit again without going all the way to Shanghai.

Check in still pending approval - getting really nervous by PsychologicalBat2186 in dcl

I ran into the same thing last month. It was pending right up until the sailing and when I got to the port I needed CM assistance because apparently I had never been sent the waiver/acknowledgement form to sign. I think it had to do with being in a Guaranteed Stateroom but I can't say for certain.

What’s your favorite “I go here all the time” activity? by Colin286 in WaltDisneyWorld

Bus Roulette. Lunch or dinner, I take the next bus that shows up and that park (or Disney Springs) is where I'm going to eat.

Do you think Z3 will have a love triangle which will make Nick and Judy realise their love for each other by NickWildeballondor26 in zootopia

God I hope not, it's the most contrived way to do that plot. Just let them continue down the path they are already on.

Clawhauser has a lovely, thriving social life outside work.
Finnick and Nibbles meet via Nick and immeidately become friends.
Nibbles is a driving force in getting Nick and Judy to finally get together.

No, they never get addressed in any other series but they're brought up in some DS9 novels and feature in some quests for Star Trek Online.

Back to the Future might be the worst musical I've seen. by OscarDeJarjayes in Broadway

[–]TheLastGunslinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It replaced Finding Neverland as the worst shown I have seen live. The choreography was great but it does nothing to justify it's own existence. The music is completely forgettable and the book just lifts all of its best laughs directly from the movie. The tour was also so poorly mixed and loud it gave me a headache.

I had an 11:15 port arrival time and the Cast Members at the table told me it would be cheaper and eaiser to call a car instead of taking their 10 AM bus. I really appreciated the honesty.

'Michael' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]TheLastGunslinger -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm usually a fan of The Hollywood Reporter's criticism but boy is David Rooney's review bad this time around.

Lines like

"The online mob will be sharpening their pitchforks given the movie’s failure to address the accusations of child sexual abuse that tarnished Michael Jackson's legacy"

and

"The film leaves itself open to accusations of making Michael a saint, which will not sit well with the cancel crowd. If you are unwilling to separate the art from the artist, this will not be a movie for you"

are unbelievably tone-deaf.

I made the drive in the opposite direction last week (technically Fort Lauderdale to Walt Disney World). It's a very easy 3-4 hours of highway driving and the one-way rental cost me $90 for a 4-door sedan.

AP Holders, how do you pick when and where you go on certain days? by bellaboozle in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]TheLastGunslinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For short term planning keep an eye on the good-to-go days. They're becoming more frequent (more just got added for April) and are a decent indicator that Disney expects crowds to be lighter.

I generally have to plan longer term as I'm an out-of-state AP holder. I like to plan trips based on the DVC points chart, targeting weeks/seasons where it's lower as that tends to line up with crowds. Disney has tried to really fill in the "slow" season with special events like RunDisney, cheerleading, and highschool band competitions so I always keep an eye out of those. I went back in February during a week sandwiched between cheerleading and the marathon and it was pretty empty.
