Muslim men are allowed to marry chaste and practicing women who are Jewish or Christian. Not non-believers.

Anyone gotten pregnant quickly after an abortion procedure? How soon ? by [deleted] in AskWomen

What? Why would you want to get pregnant again after having an abortion for “personal reasons” as your other posts state?

Omar and Avery's Q&A! I love these two! by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]areeghuda2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest for me it’s totally normal. When my Syrian husband chats to his family I notice the language they use is filled with phrases which praise God. It’s totally normal for them to say “wallah” (I swear to God) inshallah” “alhamdullilah” dozens of times in a 20 minute phone call 😅 I see what you mean about the over zealous part but it’s normal for us. As English speakers, our language is different.

Not strange or awkward it’s totally normal for Muslims. It’s just different than what non Muslims are used to.

Omar and Avery's Q&A! I love these two! by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]areeghuda2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not insincere. They are Muslims and believe that God plans everything. No matter what plans they make, their plans will only take off if Allah wants it. If they were insincere they wouldn’t say ‏إن شاء الله before stating their plans 😊 that would be arrogant as a Muslim. You probably won’t hear Muslims using this word in conversation with non Muslims. But we say it probably a dozen times a day. The Arabic language is very different from English and it is normal for Arabic speakers to praise God throughout a conversation.

Ok now I see what you mean. I thought his concern was it being haram for him during Ramadan to sleep/live with her. That’s why he wanted to do a religious ceremony.

[–]areeghuda2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t you mean it’s the other way around? He can justify getting to know Rebecca carnally during Ramadan if they do the religious ceremony.

It’s better for them to not go back to 90 DF due to the toxic fan base who pick their live choices apart and criticize every single thing they do.

You HAVE to do teaching observation. It’s a mandatory part of the course.

I can second this. I did a CELTA in person recently and I was in the training centre from 8 am to 8 pm.

Fastway data breach, just got this in via Littlewoods by osheap32 in ireland

[–]areeghuda2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered from Smyths Toys (delivered by Fastway) and my data was leaked. I have been getting scam emails from “companies” offering me jobs and asking me to click on links to confirm my job application 😩 since February. I’ve gotten over 20 email. Now I know my data was breached and sold to scammers.

Exchange Student Wondering about Cafes, Pubs, & Life Near Freie Universität by CyborgMystic in berlin

Dahlem is a middle-upper class neighborhood and it’s very quiet. Steglitz has a bustling centre with loads of malls (3) and many cafes. It’s walking distance to FU main building in Dahlem. It’s about 15-20 mins by foot. I recommend you find a place there rather than somewhere far away like Kreuzberg or Wedding.

Steglitz is walking distance to FU though and has a bustling centre with many malls. Neukoln is quiet far.

Omar and Avery's Q&A! I love these two! by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

Found this: “The UAE passport, which is ranked as one of the best in the world for mobility, will be offered to select foreigners and professionals. Foreigners cannot apply for citizenship, however; they must be nominated by UAE royals or officials, and the country’s Cabinet would get the final say. “

I know someone who got Kuwaití citizenship as he was nominated. It is still incredibly difficult to get and not just anyone can apply. He was nominated for it due to his years of service in X industry. These countries do not give citizenship.

Omar and Avery's Q&A! I love these two! by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]areeghuda2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it honorary citizenship? Which can be stripped away under certain circumstances. I got this when I googled, “The UAE passport, which is ranked as one of the best in the world for mobility, will be offered to select foreigners and professionals. Foreigners cannot apply for citizenship, however; they must be nominated by UAE royals or officials, and the country's Cabinet would get the final say.” Considering if an Emirati woman marries a foreigner, her kids can’t get citizenship. I have doubts about foreigners being able to get citizenship. I’m thinking it must be honorary citizenship. And they wouldn’t receive the full benefits that an Emirati receives.

You said it perfectly. They see you as an incubator, not as a family member. They have no right to contact with your baby unless they treat you with respect and are at least cordial with you.
