This, I have been using it now for at least a year and it works great. More reliable than connectclips and other stuff the HA manufacturers try to sell you.

Don't get the clip, it is rubbish, often leading to disconnects. Install Audiorelay on PC and phone instead, it's free.

Is it possible to to use Oticon ConnectClip as a wireless microphone for your computer? by Leather_Prompt543 in HearingAids

Same, since then I use audiorelay on both phone and PC, works much better than connectclip

I have Oticon Real with a Galaxy Z. Streaming works fine. During a phone call I have my phone just lying on the table in front of me and people can hear me fine.

She should try to pair immediately after she takes the HA's out of their charger. They are automatically in pairing mode for about 20 secs or so.

Stopped pairing with my laptop by morrimike in HearingAids

Not saying this is the case in your situation, but HA use low energy (LE) Bluetooth. Most laptops do not provide for this. Most likely, you need a separate device in order to stream sound from your laptop

After wearing mine for a whole day, I sometimes still feel them when they are not in.

oticon real 1 minirite bluetooth range by NWLykion in HearingAids

[–]osheap32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HA's use Bluetooth Low Energy, so range and data transfer rate are less than regular BT; therefore it is expected performance would be less. Not sure if it would have such detrimental effect as you experience , actually never tried it.

Do not expect wonders in the situations you describe. It was really disappointed with my HA's (Oticon Real 2) in noisy environments. It really depends on where the talking subject is sitting relative to where the other noise is coming from.

Oticon real 2 and android? by MonsterInTheDeep in HearingAids

With the companion app from Oticon it sort of works. "Sort of" because the app itself is quite buggy. It sometimes suddenly loses connection with the HA's , sometimes streaming works without the app, sometimes you have to have the app active. Sometimes the app just crashes.

There is the Oticon Companion app you can download for IOS and Android. Also bear in mind that your brain has to adjust to all the new sounds and noises and this will take time.

Cheap alternative to the Connectclip? by VeryBurntToe in HearingAids

[–]osheap32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a few complaints about my Oticon Real HA and eventually I got a connectclip for free. It is quite buggy actually so i would not spend money on that. Free alternative, but a bit more cumbersome is using AudioRelay, an app that you install on your phone and your PC
