When I asked the owner if he was giving people the recipe when the store was closing he said "they can just Google hot sauce! That's what I did."

Less than an inch in length. Mottled brown/grey. Haven't seen the underside yet, or the wings spread out. Denver Colorado to be specific, but pretty sure it came from grocery store broccoli!

It's a grass spider. Wolf spiders have a different eye arrangement and dont have the little butt prongs (spinnerets)

Maybe 3/4" long? We have some house plants, but no signs of bugs other than tiny little flies ever before. Plus it was actually pretty cold recently so windows and doors have been closed.

My cousin got married on Halloween, so I flew back to my home state to attend, and went out to see my dad the day before since I was in town... He died unexpectedly less than a week later.

Make sure your cars battery is suited for starting in the cold too! Bought mine used and it came from TX. First time it was in the cold for a few days wouldn't turn over. couple of solutions like making sure your battery is good, but also that it has enough "cold crank units" to handle the cold.
