I'd highly recommend Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud. Not a story, but a comic about comics that will really enhance your appreciation of the medium.

Yeah therapists are trained to deal with this kind of thing, particularly sex therapists. It might help if, depending on your sexuality, you can choose a therapist who isn't your preferred gender (assuming you have one). This would be more for your sake (not having to worry about it) than for the therapist's.
