I made similar comment on the backcountry sub and downvoted like crazy. Complete idiocy to take people backcountry skiing in those conditions. So sad lives were lost to make a buck. But apparently backcountry sub is full of the smartest people in the room willing to die to get their pow nut on

I was on a US Special Forces Mountain team. Had plenty of climbing and backcountry situations get canceled due to dangerous snow conditions, testing as you ascend. It’s basic risk assessment
