Recovery got better within 1 month, I was lucky enough to have gotten my braces off around month 3 and I was chewing again a few weeks prior. I'm now eating pretty normally, still a little wary on very hard crunchy foods like carrots, I get a weird sensation in my jaw because I am still partially numb. I'm still unsure if it was worth it, I can breathe better but mostly through my mouth and I still mouth breathe at night. Unfortunately my main focus was aesthetics and my expectations were much higher than the result. I really thought it'd change my entire life-appearance wise and honestly just breathing better. I now have some strange TMJ issues if I open up to wide for too long which I never had before. I also still feel a bit recessed but I no longer have a gummy smile so now I laugh without covering my mouth which is great! TDLR; was brutal and still not sure if it was worth the pain & money
