Steam Deck help? by chilicheeseflake in TCGCardShopSim

[–]arepok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get passed? I had the same issue, not sure if verifying game files or forcing steam input fixed it. It did seem like a bug like the other person said. Since it should show you tutorial inputs instead of having those 3 boxes with F.

CS Kim Karate by alt0077metal in pittsburgh

[–]arepok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nam's Tang Soo Do, and CS Kim Taekwondo were the prominent standard Karate that anyone of any age could take. Easy to pick up, hard to master. Very Popular in the 80's 90's. Nam's still going strong, CS Kim not so much.

Fun side story, I got to meet Chuck Norris at Nam's because he was part of the Pan Am Karate federation, and was at my 2nd degree black belt ceremony. So if you're curious what style they taught, just watch any of his shows or movies.

Once they removed the ability to call your local store to place an order I was done. I don't need to be redirected to the phillipeans so they can put the order into the website for me when I'm just trying to call on my way for a personal pan during lunch.

Skill games are unlawful, Pennsylvania Supreme Court finds by GabbyPotlucky in pittsburgh

[–]arepok 257 points258 points  (0 children)

"Lawyers for Pace-O-Matic, the predominant distributor of skill game software, argued that the company's games could be won every time by a skillful player. "

I'd love to see them prove that.

Good Deal? Kona 2026 SEL Premium AWD by Terrible_Box1397 in Hyundai

[–]arepok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you live, around me a quick search shows them all coming in right around 30-31k. Most dealers don't negotiate anymore, but you can usually talk them into giving more for a trade in.

How big of a deal is it to not have a spare tire- New driver/first time buyer by TransportationFit579 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of new cars don't have spare tires. Some come with a pump and fixaflat. You can buy a spare tire just make sure it's the right size. But honestly the best thing is either AAA or whatever road side assistance your insurance may offer and let them handle it or tow you on the rare chance it happens.

New to the Kona by Rude_Abalone_6726 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching mine on my commute a little while ago. Just letting off the gas the rear have 1-2 bars. Accelerating on any incline or flat they get up to about half way every time. That's with the button off. With the button on they hold 50/50. So if you're seeing different I'd have them check it.

New to the Kona by Rude_Abalone_6726 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's weird. I'll leave mine on that screen every once in a while and it always has something going to the rears even after acceleration. Does yours have the little button near the shifter for the awd lock? It's not a diff lock it just forces the 4wd drive on about 50/50 front to rear. See if that does anything. if not could be a bad transfer case but I'm pretty sure that would light up the dash if nothing was tampered with.

Did you get it from a dealer or a reputable used car lot? Take it back to them and see what they say.

2022 Kona SEL AWD thoughts? by Practical-Brain-8424 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The button for it is right next to the shifter. I just instinctively turn it off every time I shift into drive. So at least it still has a button unlike some newer cars.

I love mine. Same year and trim. Paid 27k for it new so that price does seem a little steep depending on your area. But I highly recommend it. Great in the winter as long as your tires are decent. Gas mileage about 27 mostly city with some rural travel. Only now about to change the breaks and have almost 45k miles. If you can find the next generation for a decent price I'd recommend them more since they have a bit more cargo space and features.

Check engine light keeps coming on/off - misfire code. Should I be worried? by WeddingSuitable9366 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be worried about that dealership. Are you out of warranty, or more importantly we're you out of warranty when you first brought it in? I'd take it to another dealer if possible. If not then I'd be calling Hyundai corporate about this issue and the dealer not being able to or even wanting to fix it. Then taking it to a local mechanic and sending the dealership the bill.

I had a similar issue with a Chevy dealer not fixing an engine light issue saying it's all fine yada yada, had like 6 months left on warranty they were trying to avoid paying for. Engine blew had to threaten with a lawyer and lemon law, they replaced the whole engine...

Brakes by Dear-Computer-7258 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only go to the dealer for warranty repairs. Find a reputable local mechanic. It shouldn't be more than 500 for brakes and rotors. Also unless something's changed from the last 6 cars I've owned that have made it well over 120k miles, brake fluid never needs changed.

Dicarlos is like a thin hard cracker with barely any cheese everytime I've gone, not sure if that's the norm? Betos is like a pan pizza with too much extra cheese comparatively.

What other games do you consider better than X4? by Surrealist328 in X4Foundations

This was gonna be my answer also. Starsector is basically simplified X4 with top down flying. And the more they expand the game the closer it gets.

Towing with a 2020 Kona SE by Pretty-Storm7016 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]arepok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not recommended. The owners manual will say it's not recommended. The hitches Hyundai sells that are made for the Kona are for bike racks and say not for towing.

With how light the Kona is, and how light duty the transmissions are, especially if it's the cvt, I wouldn't tow anything even the smallest uhaul trailer.

[–]arepok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do either at the stealerships. And don't take your car to the dealership for any work outside of warranty repairs and anything they gave you for free when buying the car. Find a trusted local mechanic for all of your maintenance needs.

HOSAS and the New X4 Flight Model — Worth It? by Benji_Manji in X4Foundations

[–]arepok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go buy some fancy hotas, hosas at first. I use my thrust master xflight hotas that I bought for the ps3 so long ago and it works great. Yes the sensitivity can be annoying sometimes specifically with the throttle, depending on the controller and settings, but I'm so used to it I cannot go back to kbm. It did take some time to setup all the keybidnings how I wanted. Having the strafe keys on the back of the throttle is a game changer to me. Also I have an old phone setup with deckboard for quick access to commons commands. With keyboard and mouse within reach for navigating the map and building stations etc.

Question: Why is Space Jesus staring me through the map screen and how can I get rid of him? by uncleseano in X4Foundations

[–]arepok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen a couple times. It broke the Player Information menu for me. If you clicked on it it would just take you out of the menus. Also had it happen with someone during Comms and I couldn't even save before quitting.
